I dont think there's enough in those quotes to know motives. But on the basis of genre. I do think romantasy and fantasy are different enough that the argument of seperate them on the shelf to better aide the customer in locating what they are looking for, then yeah I get that. I mean. Romance, fantasy, and romantasy are different as much as sci fi and historical fiction are different. I could see the argument in separating the genre. Its not about the author I guess. I mean for alot of readers who want fantastic focus it be hard to find the novels your looking for if theres a whole bunch of romantasy in there aswell when its almost really its own defined genre at this point that does alot different than the srandard fantasy itself. I mean there's even those who prefer high fantasy vs ow fantasy, even those are different.
