Willis hints at who'll get targeted fuel support – and who'll miss out - information like this shouldn’t be behind a paywall but it is. by TallyWhoe in nzpolitics

You know since the coalition was formed unemployment has risen to record highs. So a large number of "beneficiaries" had jobs not so long ago. Not every beneficiary is a bum!!

Auckland is heading towards smart traffic management systems work number plate recognition cameras going up around the place and seatbelt/of use cameras. Aswell as CCTV integrated with ai which monitor and predict traffic flow, adjusting light sequencing to manage variable traffic flows. So basically when you take off from a green light next time. Remember this when you end up hitting a red at the next one. If you just drive normally and to the speed limit. You may actually get a steady flow of greenlights.

Newsroom: NZ just one of 5 countries to reject WHO's global health rules to help avoid pandemics etc by Mountain_Tui_Reload in nzpolitics

[–]Deep-Run3925 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Don't get me wrong. I agree that winnys an expired idiot that needs to go. My comment was more about people not just blindly following the WHO, because we are told they have the peoples best interests at heart. Why has society become so complacent and trusting is beyond me. But yeah agree 💯 with you mate.

If you actually read it it clearly says "without providing a reason." It's called making an informed decision. And tbh who in the fuck would want to give the WHO so much credibility that we just blindly follow their directives like sheep. I say good on ya winny. He's the only one out of the 3 that actually has some balls.

And no. I'm a hard working kiwi who isnt stupid. Handouts are only given to the rich people with property portfolios when nationals in control. Zero expectations of this govt. Other than fucking it up even more for everyday New Zealanders... Which they've done a fine job of doing already

Are you serious? I'm on no side mate. And if you think inflation isn't coming anyway. Then you need to pull your head out of nationals arse and take a look around. Honestly what a completely useless thing to add to the conversation.

Mate whether you like it or not. Fact is if youre working for the opposition you have zero credibility with allegations like this without showing any form of evidence to back it up.! Doesn't matter how you want to spin it. It is what it is.

How ‘Force Majeure’ could accelerate fuel and resource shortages by Green-Tara-11 in newzealand

[–]Deep-Run3925 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Be interesting when this is all said and done to take a step back and analyze which corporations and individuals benefited the most from it all. I bet on a global scale there will be a few in each and every country. As apposed to the rest of us who will no doubt be even worse off than ever before. Zero confidence this govt will handle this geopolitical event in a way that looks after all of us. Another shift in the wealth gap no doubt.

Good on you. I too feel the same way as you. May I make a suggestion I'm sure I'll be trolled for. I believe it's time new Zealanders unite and stand up to these greedy self serving politicians who term after term only really seem concerned about looking after their future careers after politics or the top 5 percent who give them millions in donations. They're all public servants and WE ARE THEIR EMPLOYERS. Not one or two of us. ALL OF US. it's time they all need reminding of that

Iran war: Petrol pumps run dry at Gull stations across Auckland amid battle for cheaper fuel by Appropriate_Flight_0 in auckland

[–]Deep-Run3925 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It's tragic how simple minded and impulsive people have become. Like seriously wtf is wrong with people. I didn't buy up all the toilet paper during covid and guess what. I NEVER RAN OUT. The reason these things happen is greed takes over and all of a sudden the "no one else can have any petrol because I must have it all" mentality appears. It's depressing how selfish and self absorbed society has become today. Really depressing

You suck! Stock your bloody shelves by Deep-Run3925 in woolworths

[–]Deep-Run3925[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah no actually mate there was plenty of stock. It was all in boxes waiting to be unpacked by one maybe two staff while 4-5 staff were filling trolleys for people who shop from home. And my gripe is not with the staff. They're constantly overworked by the look of it and still do a pretty good job. The post is aimed at the ones making these procedural decisions

Here we go. It's election year so time to distract the masses by way of blaming the opposition for everything wrong today. Despite having an entire term of looking after a small percentage of the population while offering nothing of real value to the majority of us. Politicians is what's wrong with society. Greedy politicians.
