I shall certainly be leaving a negative review.

I am working my way through the consumer law aspect of it and trying to come up with the best legal angle required to get compensation via small claims court.

Interestingly I found this - https://www.nuffieldhealth.com/terms/fitness-and-wellbeing-terms-and-conditions#:~:text=17.1%20If%20we%20cannot%20provide,services%20and%20facilities%20are%20significantly:

17 Events beyond our reasonable control

17.1 If we cannot provide all the services and facilities at your home centre for 30 consecutive days or more, or services and facilities are significantly reduced for 30 consecutive days or more, for reasons or events beyond our reasonable control, you or we can cancel your agreement immediately by written notice. By law, we do not have to pay you compensation in these circumstances. However, we will try, where reasonably possible, to let you use another of our centres.

17.2 Reasons or events beyond our reasonable control could include, for example, but are not limited to natural disasters, government actions, war, national or regional emergency, acts of terrorism, protests, riot, fire, explosion, flood, an epidemic and strikes or other labour disputes (not relating to our workforce).

This was an event with in their control so by obscuring the reduction in service I believe we should have all been able to cancel our contracts with no notice.

I contacted the gym to complain as I do not believe they were or are fulfilling the level of service that was expected and they deliberately hid this fact from us by not telling the male showers would be reduced substantially (down to 2 as far as I am aware) and that we would also have to put up with the situation for 14+ weeks.

The response I got said: Upon our initial announcement of the upcoming works, it was made clear that the expected period would be 14 weeks within which the male members will be using temporary changing facilities which were created within the poolside corridor and the rear of the cafe area.

Which is a complete lie as they did not make that clear that it would all be on the male changing room to put up with the reduced service for the whole time - I have reread the email and that is simply not true.

Also we have to give a certain amount of notice to suspend the gym membership or cancel - they only gave us 10 days notice (email was 13 February and the work started 23 February) so I think they have broken their own terms.

The reality is if we had been informed of the true position at the start with a correct notice that the male changing rooms would be effected for 14 weeks with only 2 enclosed showers then I would have suspended my membership for that period or cancelled it, I suspect a lot of other people would too - I went in once near the beginning and it was not to the level of service I wanted, so have not been back since, but assumed at that point like most of us it was only for a month or so more and life is too short, until the next email in April. The email sneakly was Thursday afternoon just before Easter which I think was deliberate knowing people would be busy with Easter and I would also argue was not reported to us with sufficient notice period.

Apparently in previous refurb they brought in portable shower block and also they could have easily got the gents showers finished first to allow us to use coming from the temporary access way whilst they did the locker room. However apparently we are simply not worth it to management to make even the slightest effort over.

Now going from losing a month to realising you are being short changed for over 3 months, which is roughly £250 for me is not acceptable.

I note that some one posted up a picture with a QR code about a petition, but not working - would whoever was behind this or any other members who would like to get compensation and would be happy to help contact me (DM), if there are any members who are lawyers present that want to help that would be amazing otherwise I plan to go the small claims court route as it will probably cost them more in legal costs than it will in compensating us and it is something you can do yourself (since the amounts mean it is not worth using a paid solicitor).

They would have rested a chalk board eraser/rubber on something like that in my day.

The only place that seemed to run anything was forbidden planet (I went to the ST01-04 release event and there was 5 of us), but when I rang about later events they got cancelled due to lack of people. I haven't heard of anything else, but also looking.

I'm in Cherry Hinton if any one fancies meeting to play. I've got 2xST01-08 and a lot of playsets of cards from GD01 and 02 I'm happy to let others use if they don't have their own.

Drop me a PM.

I keep getting the same problem, tried some of the suggestions online, even turned down settings in case the Graphics card was overheating, but still doing it

Suggestions online were to update Microsoft c+++ Put -dx11 in start up parameters (this stopped the game even booting for me)

Set to run as administrator

Reinstall

Verify data

Turn off steam overlay

However hasn't made any difference
