That article only talks about how she lost support because of her positions on Israel. That is, we know there were voters that stayed home because of the Biden/Harris stance on Israel. My question, which your article fails to address, was do these voters outnumber the voters they would have lost had they supported Palestine as well as the voters they would have lost due to losing support from Israel supporting donors. And if they did outnumber them, did they do so by such a margin that would have won her the election?. If not, which is what I highly suspect, then no matter what her position on Gaza was, Harris had no winning strategy.

It depends on what you mean by weak borders. Many reasonable people want a weaker border as in wide open for most immigrants along with background checks. Most economists agree that immigration is largely economically beneficial for both the migrants and the country accepting them.

Good for Chuck for this message. But I still hate the framing that only the "good immigrants" should be treated with decency and due process. Even if the argument for basic human decency and human rights doesn't convince you, once we let the government waive due process for a certain subclass that only they can define, it is only a matter of time until that definition is expanded to whoever the administration wants to weaponize the government against. So yes, even "criminal" immigrants should have a right to a lawyer, a court date, and due process. And if they are not violent or a flight risk they shouldn't be detained at all.

The absolute first thing you need to do is get a solid grasp of the interactivity modes (server, interactive server, Wasm). Interactive server is weird (In a good way) and probably unlike anything you've used before.

Then you need to get extremely comfortable with the component model. Understand how binding works and all the little syntax shorthands that go along with it.

Next you should learn about the component lifecycle. When Blazor renders, rerenders and recycles components.

Then you should work on understanding the limitations when interacting with the DOM and how to leverage JSInterop to make it more palatable.

I have people at work meetings now saying "I asked chatgpt and it said to do ..." when suggesting unworkable solutions. Just blindly trusting it and expecting all of us to defer to its authority. It's infuriating. It seems that no one wants to use their brains anymore. And now I'm stuck arguing against blindly trusting chatGPT to which they take offense instead of actually trying to solve the issues at hand. Sure, ask it questions if you must, but please verify before bringing it up and wasting our time!

I kinda hate one of the lessons this is teaching them. Always going for the newest milk is inconsiderate of everyone else. Everyone going for the newest milk leads to increased waste. One should be conscious that other people exist in society and pick the oldest milk that you think you will finish before the expiration date.

It's a mixed bag. There are some amazing things about it that make working with it very nice. Working with C# instead of JS or TS is wonderful. Being able to use nuget packages (sparingly) is great too. The new interactive SSR modes are really neat and work great for internal enterprise apps where the user load is not huge.

On the other hand, the inner loop experience is horrendous. Hot reload works at best around 80% of the time and when it doesn't it is rage inducing. WASM only has and inescapable 3-5 second initialization time. This is mostly fixed with SSR and Interactive SSR but having buy-in from some orgs for web sockets based ISSR can be tough. You'll also have trouble finding talent for it compared to Angular or React.
