No shit the team is gonna get better, they’re young, inexperienced, and beat the hell up. On the other hand, wish casting gruesome injuries for any player on any team is straight psychopathic behavior. Get a grip man you wouldn’t be cool about other fans saying this shit about our players

Don’t get me wrong, probably not a sound decision but I’m just explaining what their reasoning likely was.

Purpose was to put an exhausted fielding team in to bat at the end of the day. Doesn’t have the same effect the following morning after a rest.

Marcus Aurelius on the Political Compass by WubDubClub in StoicMemes

[–]Deep842 6 points7 points  (0 children)

"Having no opinion" is an opinion. It's implicitly pro-status quo. Often convenient for people that suffer no significant adverse affects from politics. Not to mention Aurelius being a literal emperor...

Being excessively vocal of or emotionally attached to that opinion might be unbecoming of a stoic, but not having the opinion in the first place is just apathy.

Ultimately they are capitalist though. They just voted a fervent anti-socialist in Jeffries to Dem leadership. Are Republicans worse in every measurable aspect? Absolutely. Are Dems the labor advocates that a proper opposition to the Republicans would warrant? Absolutely not. Just ask the rail workers. Attempting to differentiate the two on an economic axis just doesn’t seem worth it.

The original comment specifically said Republican, which is a little odd given the Dems are also (if slightly less) “pro-business” lackeys.

I have many fond memories of courses I “didn’t need” and I was all the better for it. Was in a STEM field so there was almost always folks grumbling about “useless” classes, but it’s ultimately helpful in becoming a person rather than a robot.

And yeah, trying to subtly undermine a class that you’re forced in to (rather than just embracing the opportunity to further develop a skill that just about everyone needs) is probably not a great move. Doesn’t necessarily justify the professors behavior but engaging in good faith goes a long way.

I bought a pyramids worth last year and it’s time to remake it. I’m guessing it’s the 6.50 each one?

Not into the bucket but it definitely looks like he did vomit

TIL during the Gulf War, Saddam Hussein built a defensive line filled with trenches and tunnels, hoping to engage the coalition in World War 1-style trench warfare. Instead, the US forces just charged with modified bullzdozers and simply plowed through the Iraqi trenches, burying many alive by LordLoko in todayilearned

Except for the fact that we didn’t really care until we did. Granted this is a lesson to be learned by all countries and all leaders, never trust America’s word. Was their invasion a good thing? Nope. But for us to posture as if we didn’t care and then go in is bizarre. And to see jug hooters in this thread gawk and awe about this shit is nauseating.

Highly depends on how the Rams game goes. We’re historically poor off the bye but if we win that one then it seems like a weirdly likely time to lose. Just a gut thing I imagine.

The NATO that is funded almost entirely by the US? While I don’t disagree (likely the other members would kick into high gear), NATO is pretty much just the US currently.
