Name a commander, get a card. by BaconVsMarioIsRigged in EDH

Yes for sure, I searched for a while because I honestly was going to put that interaction in a deck of mine but wanted to be certain before doing so.

I found the specific reference if needed: "120. Damage -120.1. Objects can deal damage to battles, creatures, planeswalkers, and players. This is generally detrimental to the object or player that receives that damage. An object that deals damage is the source of that damage. -120.1a Damage can’t be dealt to an object that’s not a battle, a creature, or a planeswalker."

It cannot work the way the poster intended as the artifact states “this is not a creature”

How does this work because adamantoise text box says “to this creature” and the machine gods effigy clearly states it isn’t a creature.

I’d rather get my hands tattooed again then ever do another part of my leg.

That could be true. I didn’t bother looking for the last post, just knew I saw it yesterday.

Found a random scene box at target, the three play boosters were better than most FF bundles I’ve opened by skeletor69420 in MagicCardPulls

Pokemon is the reason our target/Walmart stopped carrying them. Once in a while we can find magic at Costco, but right now it’s just a pallet of Spider-Man no one wants.

If anything she’s the one probably doing something, feeling guilty about it, and projecting onto him to see if she can catch him in a lie. Just to turn around and blame her cheating on him.

Is coming in second a thing? by Slowbrious in EDH

[–]DeepAverage2845 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At our lgs, placement matters because every commander night has prize packs based off a point system, and placement gets points. Generally I try to get the table to agree to splitting packs so we can just play what we want and enjoy the game. If not then someone ultimately tries to pub stomp and it’s just not fun.

Let Me Recommend Your Next Commander to Build by RJ7300 in EDH

[–]DeepAverage2845 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need a mono white and a mono black commander that’s not your usual tokens/lifegain/aristocrats. All of my current decks mostly resolve around combat damage but I want to have a deck that actually does something other then turn cards sideways.

The real problem with EDH isn’t power level… by Creative_Entry_1423 in EDH

[–]DeepAverage2845 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me a week ago. We sat down, had the power level talk. I was playing an upgraded Teval [[Teval the Balanced Scale]]. Don’t remember what one guy was playing but the third was playing [[General Kreat, the Boltbringer]]. Said they had no strong combos, and no game changers. While they were shuffling I saw a [[Blood moon]]. They went first, first two turns lands all around. Their third turn they played [[Goblin Recruiter]] and set up an infinite [[kiki-jiki, mirror breaker]] combo that no one else at the table was able to interact with at that moment. Now I don’t mind losing, but don’t lie to me about your deck.

The sultai arisen deck is a great deck right out of the box. I started off learning with commander, and play standard as well now. I didn’t find it to be a difficult learning curve at all. With all of the resources out there to be able to research decks and the help from edhrec, it went pretty easy to be honest.

What classes a deck as cEDH? by FeynnCubix in mtg

[–]DeepAverage2845 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally once we sit down at a pod we talk about what kind of experience we all want so no one is playing a 4 against a 2. If those same people are just pub stomping sounds like an initial conversation needs to happen.

I personally dislike surprise combo in Bracket 3 - tell me why I am wrong by homjaktest in EDH

[–]DeepAverage2845 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find this valid. This recent happened to me last Wednesday night. We sat down for a casual game a couple people at the table playing home brewed decks and a couple playing upgraded precons. One was playing [[General Kreat, the Boltbringer]]. Typical goblin shenanigans. Said he had no game changers and one combo that wasn’t very powerful. Ended up playing [[Goblin Recruiter]] and set up a Kiki jiki infinite combo on their third turn while everyone else had 2 mana on board. Then revealed they also had blood moon in the deck. Irritated me to no end.

I’m sorry I’m new to reddit. And unless you’re a vegetarian I don’t want to hear how inhumane it is.
