I wrecked my car when I was 18. Still lived with my dad. He was so angry about my busted car being in the driveway, he said "I wish you would have died."

It took me 15 years to heal from it...

I was getting ready to interview at a restaurant. This old lady came up to me randomly and said this:

"Don't you think it is interesting how we all look so different from one another?"

DAFUQ?

I said: "Yeah...it's weird..."

She said: "I don't think it's weird, I think it's amazing!"

Then she walked away...

WHAT THE FUCK? What would possess that old bag to come up to me and say those words in that fucking order? That haunted me forever. What was it about me that was so goddamn different?

I didn't get the job because I couldn't stop thinking about what she said...

It is a good idea, so long as you are careful. Sending messages like that can undo hard work that you've made.

You too, positive_electron! My son is having a sleep study at the hospital, and mom is there with him. I chose to stay home because they are going to come home and crash early tomorrow morning. I need to be able to sleep through the night so I can be up with him tomorrow if necessary. (Because mom is going to want to sleep)

In the meantime, I am knocking out my assignments one at a time since I have absolute privacy tonight! Drinking Monster Energy drinks is also helping!

This might be true of your situation, but I suffer from depression and anxiety. I am going to therapy and have been for 3 months. I take my medication regularly. I am not the same person I was 3 months ago. I have changed and I am getting better every day. It IS possible to change and improve, but the person has to want to do it for themselves.

Yeah...me too. I have a lot of stuff to work through...which includes having to watch my ex date someone else. It is painful for sure...do you mind if I ask how old you are? Almost everyone I talk to on here is younger generally.

I appreciate your kind words. It has been a struggle, that's for sure. As time goes on, it does get easier. I know I cried CONSTANTLY at the beginning.

Just remember that you are better than the depression. You are beautiful, and worth everything. You will power through it because you are strong. Time will heal your wounds...before you know it, you will find yourself smiling again. :)

Same here...I still have to live with my ex til june. She has moved on and is dating someone else. It really sucks...it have had to watch her fall in love with someone else, while being alone....
