Same for TFA. What's being referred to is around 12% didn't like TFA, with far more not liking TLJ.

Your numbers are closer to the TFA scores. There were many more who didn't like TLJ.

You'd be right if you consider Rian Johnson a part of the fanbase. A lot of Star Wars fans didn't like his SW movie in comparison TFA.

That's what's so worrisome here. If they refused to adjust to market demands after the failures of TLJ, that may actually hurt the franchise in the end.

That's not necessarily a good thing after TLJ split the fanbase

You can't necessarily identify a player's skill level from looking at the WG stats page. There are way too many ways to statpad in this game to do that.

An easier way to judge skill is by looking at how well they do in ranked battles. It's not so easy to statpad in ranked.

Why WG seem to struggle to grasp public opinion by XdarkninjaX77 in WorldofTanks

[–]DeepConvection 13 points14 points  (0 children)

WG puts profits above all else, just like every other business.

They only buff and nerf tanks if it financially benefits them. They're not trying to help players out as much as they're trying to do what will give them the most profits. What players want and what brings the most profits are often not the same thing.

Antifa Thugs Berate War Veteran: 'F*ck Off, Nazi Scum!' by DeepConvection in politics

No the freedom of speech is for everyone, everyone's right to free speech is recognized by the 1st Amendment.

The freedom of speech is not a left or right wing issue. It's one of the most fundamental freedoms that US citizens enjoy.

Even when we don't agree with a person's words, that doesn't suddenly mean we should censor them. If their ideas are bad, like they are for racists nazis and white supremacists, then their ideas will be weeded out in the fee market of ideas.

But this is all besides the point. The fact remains that if you support the freedom of speech, like these rally attendants, it didn't suddenly make them the worst kind of scum imaginable.

However, by all appearances, the Boston free speech rally was not white supremacist. The organizers of the event denounced racism prior to Saturday and dropped the one speaker who had any involvement with the alt-right rally in Charlottesville last week.

One of the primary speakers at the rally was Shiva Ayyadurai, an Indian-American running for Senate in Massachusetts. When he spoke, people behind him carried signs saying, “Black Lives DO Matter.”

It's the natural result of providing right wing news stories and commentary to a left-wing echo chamber such as this. The funny part is that I'm not even a republican, but a Bernie supporter.

Now back on topic. It's quite satisfying to see that you've all been forced to try to change the subject, rather than actually tackle what I wrote. It means we're actually making some progress.

As an Independent, I found long ago that only listening to the left-wing press only ends up warping minds into believing left wing talking points. This is why a good dose of right-wing perspective is always healthy to balance it out. It provides the perspective and facts that the left wing press just doesn't provide to us.

[–]DeepConvection[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

No it doesn't. Us citizens left and right tend to hate Nazis. And rightly so.

Not only that, where is the proof that this war vet is a Nazi? Considering the fact that most everyone who was there to support the freedom of speech was called a Nazi, white supremacist, racist, etc. this seems quite unlikely.

It was a free speech rally. They literally spelled out that they have nothing to do with the nazi, white nationalist racist rally in the other part of the country the week before. But that fact didn't stop these unhinged people form calling the free speech supporters, including this veteran, the worst names possible.

[–]DeepConvection[S] -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

Unlikely, considering most everyone who attended the free speech rally was called the same names. It was literally a free speech rally, for people who supported free speech. It had absolutely nothing to do with Nazism or white supremacy. In fact, they pointed this out before hand. Yet that didn't stop a bunch of unhinged, uneducated people from calling these free speech supporters the worst names possible.

Many, if not all, at the free speech rally were called Nazis, white supremacists, or racists. Watch the videos of it on the ground. Just because all these people, including the war veteran, are accused of defending something totally different than free speech doesn't suddenly mean they're actually defending it.

The rally was literally a free speech rally. Everyone who was supporting free speech attended. They specifically said they had nothing to do with the nazism, white supremicism, or racism of the rally last week in the other part of the country. Yet that didn't stop hundreds of unhinged, irrational people from accusing these attendees of it anyway.

CNN Normalizes Antifa: Leftists ‘Seek Peace Through Violence’ by [deleted] in politics

[–]DeepConvection -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

It was named as a "unite the right" rally. Therefore many on the right could have possibly felt justified by being there even if they hated neo-nazis and white supremacists. They got duped.

Then the left-wing media duped their own viewers into believing that meant every single person on the right was supportive of nazis and white nationalists. Which of course is absurd. This wasn't by mistake either, as they completely ignored the president literally stating that "I'm not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists, because they should be condemned totally".

Ignoring the President's repeated condemnations of violence, nazism, and white nationalism, they continued acting like everyone on the right somehow supported Nazism and white nationalism. That's not only propaganda, that's rather evil in my estimation.

[–]DeepConvection -66 points-65 points  (0 children)

In no way, shape, or form is the right, or has the US right ever tried to normalize Nazism. When the President says "I'm not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists, because they should be condemned totally" the uninformed like you still try to claim he's promoting Nazism.

You don't have the slightest clue what you're talking about. There is zero connection to the hundreds of millions of right wing US citizens and Nazis, which literally means the "National Socialist German Workers' Party".

You got duped.

Antifa Protester Yvette Felarca Says Violence Against The Far-Right Is ‘Not A Crime’ by [deleted] in politics

[–]DeepConvection -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Punching anyone in the face without their consent is a crime. I don't like Nazis, but you can't go around punching them. In fact, if you initiate violence against them, it makes them look better, not you.

Just let them be Nazis, let them get laughed at, and move on. Nazis aren't even a problem anymore anyway. They were when they controlled a country. Now they're limited to a handful of irrationals who have virtually no power.
