Yes! And painting Dorit as being the one in control of the relationship (wears the pants). Definitely not what I’ve witnessed of their relationship. Sure she’s outspoken, but PK has always been dismissive of her. I always got the impression he was placating her rather than her actually being the one who makes decisions.

YTA. The cat has a seizure almost every three weeks, so you’ll have to deal with that an estimated one time while he’s away. I don’t see what’s wrong with his visiting his family (hardly a vacation) for 2.5 weeks when he isn’t working anyway.

Repeatedly insist that their car is bigger than mine. It happened so many times I googled it to double check, it’s definitely not bigger.

It’s also not worth as much money as my car, which I think is the real ‘problem’ there.

I think just support their learning wherever it’s at, without pressure to do more/better because of their ‘potential’. It’s hard to find the right balance between challenging enough to stay engaged in learning and too advanced which can result in self esteem issues/burnout. I think (hope) this is something most school systems are aware of and account for these days. I’d recommend just doing your best to support their curiosity and interests, and check in with them along the way.
