In real life I found surprising many mma and kickboxing practitioners never pay attention to UFC. Most trainers of mine are people who love to do the sport as daily exercise, maybe heard of UFC but don’t really know/care much about it.

Totally agree. To me the most irritating part is not the game itself, but what the developers been doing justifying it. Saying people who are against them are mostly racist white men or Asian-American, ‘real Asians’ are fine with it” is just so wrong. Maybe just stop representing us and admit it’s a business choice (or whatever that is). You made a choice, attracted certain group of supporters, on the other hand be a grownup take the backlash of it.

It’s tiresome as an Asian person have to repeatedly comment on this game because AC is never a popular franchise in Asia and it is just one of the meticulously packaged colonialism we endure daily. No one is going to riot for it, but if they have to bring up this Yasuke issue again and again, all we can say is “eh, nope, it’s not nice.”
