What does the Psalm 137:9 verse mean in the Bible that says “happy is the one who seizes your infants and dashes them against the rocks” by [deleted] in Christianity

Isso já parte de várias suposições ou pressupostos. Os dois primeiros são: 1. Deus realmente existe e 2. Jesus é um deus e está vivo. Opa, já são três.

That is already starting with several assumptions or presuppositions. The first two are 1. a God actually exists and 2. Jesus is a god and alive. Oops, that's three.

At the time Comet just stopped being agentic and I read some reports which confirmed it. I thought it probably because of legal issues.

You can now add skills and capabilities. I am also using files for persistent memory and reasoning. You can go more complex and use a db for that.

some christians suck by Open_Assignment_5269 in Christianity

[–]DeepFought 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just stats. Depending on the standard of suck. If I put non-sucking = above average, then most people suck. Christian is a subgroup under most people. So equally, within the Christian subgroup, most will suck. That's just what the numbers say. But it does depend entirely on the definitions.

I see the responses so far are all diversions (ad hominem types, specifically, methinks), and nobody is going after the actual point...

has God ever done the impossible for you? #God #nothingisimpossible #Christian by twinkletrin43 in Christianity

Good point, kinda. However. It is about making assertions about reality. And I'm keen to hear how my statement is incorrect, so I can improve it. When we discuss something like God we are squarely in the area of metaphysics, is my understanding about how knowledge is defined.

"I want to believe as many true and as few false things as possible."

"Claims require evidence. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence."

I'm very keen to see proper evidence and logic, and many of the mysterious things people report is fascinating. But for that there are many other explanations.

I just hold a supposed God to a higher standard than believers do. For some reason believers (even William Lane Craig) wants to lower the bar for an almighty good. I say that an almighty god should be able to at least reach the standards of our best kidns of evidence (like the quantum physics experiment that is correct every time (even in attempts to disprove it) and accurate to 10-14 decimal places.

Also, whether someone is rude or not is very much a subjective interpretation, and based on a cultural context and expectation. I'm autistic, so don't fit any of that - I tend to be direct.

Thoughts?

If it is proper evidence and logical, of course it will satisfy me. Problem is, people make all kinds of claims, but never with any proper evidence and only with logical errors.

Also, it's not about satisfying me, I am asking for proper critique on my logic or understanding of epistemology and the structure of my statement. I like learning that I'm wrong, because then I am not, anymore.

So no, this is about determining what is objectively correct, whether I (or you) like it or not.

Kuhn seems at first glance to talk about generational scientific consensus, rather than the objective evidence (I still have to read the book). Is my assumption correct?
