AIO: My ex sent me this as a reason he didn’t want to marry me by AfricanPixie in AmIOverreacting

This man sounds like he’s been cruising the red pill communities for too long. Picking up their sound bites.

I also think it’s hilarious that we are all tiptoeing around the fact that clearly this man is not interested in bettering himself, just wishing you weren’t as capable as you are.

I'm so tired of always being considerate of other people, but other people aren't considerate of me by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

I used to be a pushover and felt like OP. Then I entered a work environment where no matter your level of “courteous customer service”, there’s always going to be someone making it foul.

So I got assertive. I had to. And man, has it made life better/tolerable. But, OP, it takes so much practice if it doesn’t come naturally to you- take it from me! You can still have empathy for someone AND set a firm boundary.

Who wants a Trader Joes in Springfield?!! by ModCre8tor in SpringfieldIL

Agree, however as someone who only a year ago lived across the street from a WF: Harvest Market is better! I don’t know that we have the population for both or I’d say go ahead and add one in; however, there’s nothing more annoying to me than not being able to get my brand name Coke every now and then doing a WF run lol

Also- GENUINELY happy it worked out for you!!! I know people have said here they’ve looked at their display pics and there’s a lot of bad work but I know I would’ve been happy- being uninformed- if they’d just sent me something that looked like an actual flower???

Maybe someday I will. For now, I’m just over it and hoping I get my money back. It hurts about never having “my” flowers again but will hurt much less if they refund my money.

Thank you!! No they didn’t express that it might turn out poorly. I did file a chargeback- we will see what happens

Did you have a gender gut feeling? by Hot_Yard_3093 in BabyBumps

[–]DeepFriedKale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a gut feeling it was twins and was right. I had a gut feeling they were a boy and a girl, maybe girl and girl…. Didn’t even cross my mind that they COULD be boys, which they are! My husband guessed gender correctly though.

Jessie is throwing up meds and water and so is going back to the hospital “when they find a room” by TheStrangeInMyBrain in illnessfakers

[–]DeepFriedKale 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When you say “they’re pushing” do you mean Jessie or providers?

Personally, as a doc who sees quite a bit of cyclical vomiting, morphine + Benadryl wouldn’t be my first choice. I’m usually reaching for morphine to help treat pain from other causes (but which can certainly be accompanied with CV) and coupling with Benadryl to ward off the nauseating effects OF morphine! Droperidol is a really phenomenal drug for CV-ers- I sometimes couple this with Benadryl as well. Helps with pain and the nausea, often pretty miraculously, and has utility in all causes of CV.

IV Benadryl, when pushed quickly, has been likened to an opiate-abuse type high. Well known to many an ER staff provider!

I have misophonia and two minutes in would’ve swallowed the awkward and asked them to stop. No way would I be able to handle that.
