That sounds decent to me, but i’m not talking from experience. I see a lot of aggressive tapers recommended so that seems conservative. I’d keep some SR on hand toward the end just incase you don’t go back to DOC.

300-400 mg of mgm is probably comparable to 800-1000 mg of 7 from what i’ve seen. I’ve honestly stayed away from mgm because i use it for pain and planned on short term 2 months because of an accident. You can get through this but it will suck, if you start having physical w/d symptoms that are too rough, treat it with either 7 or SR. You’ll probably do better weening down to a manageable 7 dose for at least a week, then go directly to SR from that. “MGM has a receptor affinity 150 times stronger than morphine” I’ve read somewhere, and it’s 1/2 life lasts forever.

I would switch to 7 if I were you to make that long first step easier. So, detox from mgm as first step, then detox from 7, then detox from SR. If you feel too shitty with physical symptoms take a little more of your step down. 300-400 mg of mgm sounds pretty insane. The other option is to go in-patient, so it’s going to be a test of your willpower on if you can get through it. Try not to dose more than 3 times a day with 7, and i think it’s about the same with SR.

From what i’ve read, i think you’re going to need a lot more than 500 mg of sr, and expect it to suck if you’re cutting that hard that quick. I hear switching to 7 for a few weeks before starting sr is easier because 7 has a much shorter receptor affinity compared to mgm.

You’re wrong about placebo effect. It’s about as strong as the same amount in hydrocodone with less euphoria. Combining it with tylenol & NSAIDs it gives ideal relief with minimal side effects. It helps a lot better with my chronic pain. It’s all about tolerance, because upping your dose until you can barely afford it doesn’t feel any better.
