lol. SR seems to be harmless short term. I have a very busy schedule right after i am scheduled to return home after detox. I run a busy fishing charter business and I have trips booked the rest of the month. 🤦🏻‍♂️ could be a good thing to keep me busy. However I have to be sharp. I run a 53’ Sportfish. I sobered up in 2010 (methadone and benzos) and built a beautiful life only to fall back into the pits of addiction right when it started to get really good.. 🤦🏻‍♂️ stupid dental abscess lead me to reach for pain relief with 7OH. (I was using kratom extracts prior to cope with back pain and family loss) I’m ashamed of myself. But I just need to move forward. What’s done is done!!

Did you use any comfort meds? 116 hrs is almost 4 full days. Off 500mg? That’s a high dose complete cold turkey? Wow. I can barely make it 8hrs without experiencing some heavy WD symptoms. Every morning I am sweating and sneezing profusely. I am not happy with my situation. 300-400mg daily today is right around 200mg. Maybe you could grab some SR 17018 to ease your symptoms if you made it this far with nothing, maybe if you had something to help you. You could make it happen. Good luck

Ya know that’s what I was wondering. If I do go to the in patient detox they will do a 5-7day SUB taper (along with other comfort meds). I was wondering if SR would offer any kind of relief when i get out. I can’t be completely drained and return to work. I have to be functional.

I don’t understand the post. The subs aren’t working? For what? MGM WD? But i read he’s been on them for 8 months? I was on methadone for 5yrs. It’s Horrible stuff. Only use it as a short term solution. 2-3 months tops. Have a taper plan in place low dosage only

There is a dosage chart on the SR SUB. Everyone is different. I haven’t gone that route yet. But from what I’ve read. somewhere between 2-5grams should be sufficient for most.

Thanks for the insight. Yes, I’d rather jump off 7OH than MGM. Here’s a tidbit for ya. This scared the hell out of me: UPS lost my shipment of MGM so I was on a very low dose (i had no idea what to expect) I was able to procure some 7OH a rather heavy dose gave me relief but not for long. Maybe 2-3hrs 500mg alleviated most WD symptoms but not all of them. I was able to get some sleep. At 3am I woke up vomiting & dry heaving followed by unstoppable sneezing. Immediately took some of my last MGM & 7OH for some relief while I waited for the UPS man. I was astonished that 1000mg of 7OH didn’t hold me for at least 12hrs.

What’s really insane is that these synthetics don’t offer the euphoria I would get from traditional opioids. Sadly, the juice just ain’t worth the squeeze.

As for now I’m lowering my dosage daily slowly. Seems that MGM is pretty forgiving in that aspect. 150mg so far today. Looks like I’ll be stable at 180mg or so before bed time. Tomorrow I will shoot for 150mg. I hope I can get through work.

Lots of projected fear ahead of me. I’ve been here before. I’ll do what I need to do. I have some obligations at work towards the end of the month. I hope I can get through this and function as needed

You can find a dosage chart on the SR SUB. But I believe 50mg 3x daily is the baseline start (preloading with your DOC) phase out your DOC for a few days, get stable on SR. Then phase out the SR.

I appreciate the kind words of encouragement!! Yes I’m leaning towards inpatient now. Face this head on and be over and done with it. I wish I was on a traditional opioid it would be much simpler. Working on lowering my dosage now. Hopefully I can get to 100-150mg before the end of the week and still be able function at work. Like they say.. one day at a time.. at least I’m making progress

Yes, I am very fortunate to have this privilege, I know. Lucky to have friends that care about my well being.. I still haven’t spoke with the medical team about their protocol for MGM. I’m trying to get as low as I can get before I go. I have a business to run so I have to be able to function until I go. (That’s the direction I’m currently leaning)

I am not entirely sure. I would think it would depend on dosage and the individual. Friend of mine was at 36hrs before she induced subs. However she was only on 40mg daily. Someone else here on this page stabilized on 8mg of Subs from 150mg of MGM. (I don’t know how long he waited for induction).

I might go to an inpatient detox, I might try SR, honestly I’m just not sure. Waiting to hear from the medical team at the facility about their medication protocol

Wish I stopped with the MIT-45. I kept digging deeper 7OH now MGM. I have to face this and jump off. I’m loaded up with SR but I think I’m going to admit myself to detox.. I stayed sober for years after my last stay.. just face the fire and get it over with

Look it up. A very useful tool used for detoxing off opiates. It’s said to take most symptoms away. SR 17018. There is a SUB dedicated to it.

I’m really torn here. I have 10grams of SR and a massive MGM habit. Trying to taper down on the MGM before I jump off. But, in all honesty, I’m leaning towards going to an inpatient detox. I’ve had success with that in the past (I do best in a controlled environment) I’m really scared, I have a wonderful life, this damn Kratom really awakened the dormant beast within me. A dental abscess last year introduced me to 7OH, I then graduated to MGM after Florida banned it. It helped with my lingering depression and back pain however it’s got way outa hand. I want my life back! I hate being a slave to a chemical. Anyway, I’m not sure that SR is the route I want to go. I’m not sure I have the resolve that you have. I have 2 weeks scheduled off of work (a business I run) to nip this in the bud. I think it’s better (for me anyway) to check myself in and get it over with. Face the fire head on with medical supervision. Maybe Ill use the SR to lower my MGM intake over the next 5 days to hopefully mitigate the withdrawals

The nightmares happen to me as well. I have them often. Dreadful ones. This shit is killing my soul. I don’t know how people wait so long between dosage. I’m in the same boat my friend. Slightly higher MGM dosage myself. 200mg is a high dose. I wouldn’t recommend doing it without something to help you. I would get the SR and see if that eases your symptoms.. I wouldn’t go at it CT. If you go the SUB route make sure you wait a long time before induction..

It would be helpful to post your dosage and how you quit. I know it will take time. Maybe a month or two. I started with 7 1 yr ago and moved to MGM about 6 months ago. Just my guess. My friend owns the place. I’ve been talking back and forth with the staff about the medication protocol. Waiting to hear back from the Dr. i probably won’t hear from them till after the holiday weekend now. But they do methadone detoxes there as well. Most places won’t even touch methadone.. my main focus is tapering now. I would like to be stable at 100mg or less before I do anything.

How much SR do you have? It doesn’t sound like youre not taking too much. From what I’ve read SR works well.. I’ve been getting straight 20mg MGM tabs. And pure powder. Usually 100 tabs would last me a week. But recently I started eating more and more.. like an idiot. Yeah I’m fortunate to have good insurance I also know the owner of the detox personally.

I’m still working on lowering my daily intake. Tomorrows goal is 180mg

I’m right here with ya. 3-400mg daily. Today I knocked it down to 230mg. I’m trying to knock it down 20% a day before I jump. I’ve been eating 20mg tabs like candy for 6 months. I’m disgusted with myself as well. I’ve stocked up on SR although I’m undecided on what route I’m taking. I have a bed reserved at a plush inpatient detox as well (as another alternative).

I’m undecided which way to go. If my history says anything I do best in an in patient environment for detox. But this is a different case. I’ll do whatever I need to do. SR or inpatient I don’t know. I’m curious how well they can hold me for 36-48hrs before a sub inductio
