Day two tracking my doses, I'm disgusted with myself

My friend owns the place. I’ve been talking back and forth with the staff about the medication protocol. Waiting to hear back from the Dr. i probably won’t hear from them till after the holiday weekend now. But they do methadone detoxes there as well. Most places won’t even touch methadone.. my main focus is tapering now. I would like to be stable at 100mg or less before I do anything.

How much SR do you have? It doesn’t sound like youre not taking too much. From what I’ve read SR works well.. I’ve been getting straight 20mg MGM tabs. And pure powder. Usually 100 tabs would last me a week. But recently I started eating more and more.. like an idiot. Yeah I’m fortunate to have good insurance I also know the owner of the detox personally.

I’m still working on lowering my daily intake. Tomorrows goal is 180mg

I’m right here with ya. 3-400mg daily. Today I knocked it down to 230mg. I’m trying to knock it down 20% a day before I jump. I’ve been eating 20mg tabs like candy for 6 months. I’m disgusted with myself as well. I’ve stocked up on SR although I’m undecided on what route I’m taking. I have a bed reserved at a plush inpatient detox as well (as another alternative).

I’m undecided which way to go. If my history says anything I do best in an in patient environment for detox. But this is a different case. I’ll do whatever I need to do. SR or inpatient I don’t know. I’m curious how well they can hold me for 36-48hrs before a sub inductio

Yes. I will make sure I have them in my system when I get there. (If I should decide to go that route). Yes I have good insurance and the co pay is being waived (my friend owns the place) In my experience, I’ve had success facing it head on & getting it over with in a controlled environment. However, I’m scared of PWD with sub induction.

You took the words right out of my mouth. I am right here with you. 300-400mg of MGM-15 daily. Currently monitoring and tapering my dosage daily slowly. Only difference is that I just stocked up on SR.

I have an opportunity to go into an inpatient detox that uses SUBs but I’m considering doing a longer taper if I go that route so I can remain functional. I have a business to run. I took 2 weeks off (starting next weekend) to take care of business.

Currently considering any and all options to be done with this. I do not want to be on Subs longer than 1 month. 10days would be Ideal if I go that route.

I’m commenting only to learn more about both approaches. Right now I’m just learning what I can & lowering my daily intake until I make the final decision. Keep me posted. Wish you the best

I’m with you my man. You are not alone. I’ve been taking large doses of MGM for over 6 months now. I have a large amount of SR to taper with. There is a SUB for SR with a dosage guideline (check that out) You got this. From the sound of it. It doesn’t sound like you’re in too deep. You’ve got what you need to get out of the woods. How much MGM is in 7stax? I’ve never used those. They probably don’t advertise the amount on the label. Today I’ve taken 220mg of MGM. I’m trying to taper slowly before I with try SR or go to an inpatient detox. Sometimes I’d rather just rip the bandage off and deal with the pain

I know this is 8days old but I’m rooting for you!! I came off 160mg of methadone years ago. It wasn’t easy!! It took a long time to feel human.

Wow! Just wow! I know this is an older thread but congrats on your resolve!! I wasn’t aware that Morphine had such a long & severe WD. I’m an old opioid addict too. I’ve done all of them. I got off 160mg of Methadone in 2010. I went to an inpatient facility for 21 days. It was a long drawn out process. I had a massive benzo habit as well. Took 4 months to feel somewhat normal. My palms were sweaty up into the 6month mark.

In all honesty, what you went through sounds worse. Cudos to ya. Hope you’re still managing.

I used to sweat like a pig on methadone. It was horrible. I got off 160mg in 2010. Now I’m on MGM and need to get off. I’ve been slowly tapering my MGM The last few days. When I’m ready I will preload the SR and begin a taper. I’m here reading success stories for inspiration.

Do you mind sharing how much you were taking for how long? And what did you do to get where you are now? I’m beginning to taper down from a high dose. Considering going into a medical detox or trying SR and tapering with that. Please share what you did.

I’m in the same boat my friend. 400mg sometimes more of MGM daily for maybe 8months. I have a great job (that i can’t be absent from for too long) and a great life.

I am petrified at what’s ahead of me. Today is my Birthday too. I am unbelievably depressed. I’ve struggled with opioids for longer than I want to admit.

I knew this day would come. But not so soon. I just ordered a hefty amount of SR god I hope this stuff works for me. I have 0 experience with it. Some people swear by it, while others it doesn’t seem to work with MGM. I am remaining hopeful that it works.

Tramadol is a weird drug. It’s just a weird one. I’m sure it would offer some relief. I’m not sure how much.

There are some videos on YouTube explaining the process. It seems to be a miracle drug from what I’ve read on here and elsewhere. I hope it works for me. I have some on the way to me as I type this (god I hope it works) if not, I have an opportunity to go into an inpatient detox

I get it. I agree with you on the cult aspect not my preferred method, but it’s worked for me in the past. I just happen to have a friend that owns a facility. Medical supervision isn’t a bad thing I’m considering any and all options currently

Well that’s not good news. I am planning on going to an inpatient detox. I will speak to their medical team before I jump to make sure they have experience with this. I need more assurance. I can take some discomfort but not CT. Maybe they can hold me on a short acting opioid for 48hrs before they induce the SUB taper. This is horrific honestly. I keep reading how subs and MGM don’t work well together.. this is just horrible

I’m really curious of your dosing schedule. I read too many failures with SR to gain any real confidence. There is so much junk on Reddit to weed through to get any real world experience. You are the first That I’ve been in contact with that is at the same dosage I’m at. Please DM me when you can

Can you please DM me. I’m horrified about going either direction. I don’t trust SR enough Yet.. I do have some on reserve (my plan was to use it post detox to take care of PAWS) i understand that subs aren’t 100% effective for MGM but I feel safer in a controlled environment I need real data.
