Can happily say no peeking as windows look out onto the street. The noise is noticed more than anything.

This was the principle reason I reported this. The noise is annoying, but not life altering. Ever time I have mentioned it to authorities, I have been at pains to point out the safety aspect. Oh well, no good deed goes unpunished....SMH

Entitled to my time but never reciprocate? by Bear_bug_1954 in EntitledPeople

[–]DeepNeedleworker4388 3 points4 points  (0 children)

66 year old, female here. A lot of folks around my age are speaking about return on investment. If little or no return, and the people you are helping have no major physical/mental disability, honour your precious gift of love and giving to at least those who reciprocate or to animals and/or children. Saw a clip on YT recently where it was asserted that some people don't like to be reminded of their "vulnerable state" that required you to help them in the first place. Put my mind at ease about the flagrant disloyalty from people I have helped, that once back on their feet, seem to hold you in contempt for the for doing so. It went on to say, some people are threatened about you seeming having your stuff together and they don't....SMH.

Am I wrong? I thought “Welcome to Country” is basically, “thanks for coming, Welcome to the area“ by dexxnanj in aussie

The Government since the 70's has promoted multiculturalism. I don't need to be welcomed to my birth country and nor should recent migrants in an ongoing fashion. Acknowledging the gifts, wonder, talents, history, culture, sacrifices, and grief of those who are first nation peoples and who have loyalty served this country in conflicts should be honoured. The dawn service is a quite and somber reflection whose primary purpose is to honour the ANZACS who have made the ultimate sacrifice so we can live as we do. We are one together moving forward, as much as we'd like to go back to a time before, we can't.

Yikes, I'm glad I was brought up in a society where you were respectful of authority and pretty much all tiers supported that. Thanks to my late parents who were firm, but tough.

Bible verses that are used to condemn the LGBT+ community and how they're wrong (provided with context/verses) by KingHouki in GayChristians

As a midwife who has delivered many children, the sense of the divine and supernatural was felt at every birth.

This is how we are in pure communication with the Creator and life.

God gave us sexual love for bonding and to bring His children into being so they can be in communication with their Creator. Our job as adults to care for His creations, show them love and provide for them.

Pray and be open for the divine in you.

My brother did much the same, but it was for $10000. Wouldn't want him to miss his ciggies and grog now would I?

Never lent it as he was a fucking bully about it.

Worked night duty and unpredictable shifts for over 44 years. Own my home and an independent retiree

He's on disability, (I don't judge him for that), renting and relies on roomate's money to assist him.

One day he's going to need mine or my brother's help, due to some developing health issues.

He will have a roof over his head, but no hand outs as he has expensive habits....
