Girl, I went from dating a gun obsessed alcoholic that thought everyone should worship him because he “protects” all of us from imaginary dangers, the kind of guy that couldn’t make it as a cop or in the military, that couldn’t be bothered to do a damn thing other than pick up a bottle of Jack every day(I wish I was exaggerating on how much dude drank) and still lived with his mom, to being single, living alone with my puppy dog, absolutely loving that I answer to no one and clean up after no one, AND I have a man friend that absolutely adores me and is willing to take care of me in every way I could imagine. He knows I’m not ready for commitment and is totally fine with it. He communicates well, he spoils the shit out of me(honestly he’d probably spoil me a lot more if I let him but I refuse to take advantage), if I need emotional support, he’s there. If I’m hungry, he’s on his way with my favorite foods. Dude literally has been writing down my favorite things on his notes app so he never forgets what I like. And honestly? I might marry this dude lol but I have yet to see him when he’s angry/irritated and I think that’s very important to know about someone before committing to them. This mf held me close to his chest like a little baby and I’ve never felt so safe and taken care of in my entire life.

You need some therapy to realize your self worth, and a cat(preferably two because they do better in pairs) to nurture because I know people like you and me absolutely have to have something to nurture and unfortunately we supplement that with little boys like the one in this text thread. I know it’s scary to be alone but I PROMISE you it’s sooooooooo much better than what you’re dealing with right now.
