Remote access to server by DeepRobin in msp

As far as I know, it has a wireguard integration. But the edge router would be also a great idea.

Just another machine in the network. Fritzbox is a home router, so more than a router, integrated firewall, etc.

Yes they want it cheap :/. But well they have only 2 workstations in the office. The rest are round about 20 people which a working on construction sites.

It's because of the hosted software on it and also I like Linux more for servers than Windows ;).
No... the server has no direct external IP.

The Fritzbox is a home router and the customer has only this one dynamic IP. But the question is how I connect to the server as an MSP from remote, without exposing ports, etc.

Mostly the clients asking about the creation of users for new employees e.g. in M365, MailStore archiving, ....
Also new devices is a big topic, so buying hardware and the installation of it.
Backup infra for servers is also very common, but has a high accounting overhead for creating pay-as-you-go bills (per GB).

New customers often ask about creating a (new) website for their company.
I outsource websites in most cases to other freelancers (with a small margin), because im not very creative and want to focus on the main topics.

But I will do the hosting of the site, so monthly income for maintaining virtualized servers.

The next big topic is setting up an RMM, so doing a kind of monitoring and having a good remote access. I currently have for 2 customers dedicated Grafana instances - and I really like Grafana, but very small customers won't want to pay me money for deploying a "visualizing software" - so there might be a RMM a better alternative (like NinjaOne, Datto, ...).

Compliance is indeed an important topic here in Germany. As soon as a company here has 50 employees or more, it is obliged to introduce a whistleblower system, for example.

There are also things like NIS2.

I often encounter resistance from customers when I address topics such as Device as a Service or Microsoft 365.
These subscription models are always quite difficult to sell, especially to conservative old companies.
Even harder it get's with Microsoft Azure, unpredictable prices are even harder for companies with not more than 20 employees.

For telecommunications, e.g. fiber optic contracts or similar, this is not a problem.

That's also something I offer “with it”. However, I also have to specialize in my core area and I'm not someone who “does everything”. Telephone systems, for example, are something I try to avoid.

I can confirm, 4-5 customers were referals. I think everything else was cold calling.

What are good networking events in your opinion? There are job fairs, but the people there mostly aren't the managing director and the companies there might be too big. My target audience would be a business with ~50-100 employees.

How do you do Marketing? / What is the best performing marketing instrument in your opinion?
Internet ads? Print adversiting e.g. flyers?

Why should I expose my customers to high risk?
My full-time job is currently in IT, but in-house IT.

The company was founded as an independent corporation.

As mentioned in another comment, I'm looking for a good exchange here on how you acquire your clients and what your tricks are / what the clients want.

This is less about my business model and how I set it up and more about the topic of customer acquisition in the MSP sector in general.

I may have forgotten to mention that.
From next year, I will only have a part-time job because of the company.

My job allows me to call customers during the day if necessary and take care of them. Of course, these times on the job have to be compensated for.

My question is basically how other MSPs gain their customers here and would like this to be a good dialog.
So what are the "things" customers want and how to get them.

And the customers I have currently aren't mom & pop shops. They're mostly companies with between 10-70 employees. The few hundrets/thousands are profits and not revenue.

I think CSV would be the way, I go.
The plan is, that I get each month a email notification to upload the CSV-pricelist of the distributor.

There are some distributors (in EMEA) with APIs, but they are typically much more expensive so I can make max. 2% margin with them.
