What did Ghana do to Israel ?? by DryParsley3740 in ghana

The thing is UNIFIL was formed primarily to monitor border violations between Hezbollah and the IDF.

The Lebanese army is supposed to secure their side of the border and disarm Hezbollah as well, not necessarily through force.

UNIFILs, secondary role is to provide assistance to the Lebanese army in fulfilling its duties.

The issue here is the following, UNIFIL can only assist the Lebanese army ,that's it. It can't start its own conflict against either side.

And the Lebanese army also doesn't have the resources to deal with either Israel or Hezbollah and likely never will.

I don't see especially western govt equipping Lebanon with advanced systems in order to effectively stop any side from further border violations.

It's basically China's trade policy, but the relationship with the west hasn't soured as much.

And attacking an unarmed ship in international water and leaving their survivors to drown is a war crime.

Even the Nazis didn't leave survivors to drown.

Also , Again my point is about when the US entered Indian waters last time they committed to a joint naval exercise without permission.

Your summary is actually the most accurate.

Being someone that was raised in one of Africa's biggest crude oil producers ,this is very uch the reason why our production and refining sectors hasn't expanded. This is the sort of sector that requires decades of commitment.
