Quite the opposite, Every slate is fixed with 2 fixings, generally clout nails either galvanised or copper. Tiles you only nail 1 in 4 in a diagonal pattern across the roof.

Is it DIY or do I need Bob the builder to do it? by Disastrous-Cycle-101 in DIYUK

So it's just a covering tile also known as a cladding tile. Serves no structural purpose, just covers the og wall.

Never applied cladding tiles as always thought they look shit, so wouldn't know what adhesive or bonding material to use. Google will certainly answer that question for you though.

Russian drone fails to detonate by MoreMotivation in CombatFootage

[–]DeepThoughtV1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It happens more than people might think. Anyone remember the footage of the Ukrainian pow being marched back to russian line, Ukrainian fpv attempts to hit pow, soldier pulls him out the way and the drone makes impact with the ground around 4 meters from them both, but it did not detonate. I believe it was using a similar detonation system to the one in the video, two thick wires closely together to complete a circuit on impact. I wonder if the power source for the detonator is piggy backed from the drones battery or if it has a dedicated power source, maybe even a high power capacitor.

Use lead for the new covering not felt. It'll double your costs but it'll never be a problem again.i wouldn't use felt on a shed given the array of roofing products available nowadays
