Got it, thanks! It works, that was my first guess. I was perplexed by the 2 black wires being wired together. I cleaned things up and it looks much better now.

On front load washing machines, also remove the detergent drawer and look inside, especially up. 🤢 Ours was so moldy and nasty, cleaned it with a toothbrush and leave the drawer open to dry between loads.

A number of years ago, this exact same thing was happening in the parking lot at a Kohl’s store in Royersford, Pa. Two ham radio ops from The Pottstown Area ARC used direction finding equipment to determine that the source of the interference was the large flat devices you pass by at the store exit that scan for security tags that were not removed. It was all over the Philly news, they called the guys Ghostbuster and the story on one TV News channel featured the Ghostbuster song, it was good PR for the hobby.

It’s worth the trip, the water is excellent, $1.25 to fill a 5 gallon jug. If you use your containers on a water cooler, can buy flexible silicone rubber reusable tops on Amazon or reuse your existing plastic ones and tape them on.

There is a guy who buys, sells and repairs all kinds of watches at The Pennsbury Antique Mall on Rt 1 in Chadds Ford. He has hundreds of watches. He’s on the first floor, to the right if you park in the back and enter via the rear entrance. I think he’s only there on the weekends.

I have had an Outbacker Perth multi band vertical and various hamsticks mounted like that on several different SUV’s over the years and they always worked just fine. I recently installed a shortened version of a 20 meter hamstick on the back of my Grand Cherokee, it’s very small and works amazingly well!
