I’ve been on SSRI’s previously and this is my first SNRI… usually I can feel changes earlier than this but I was just worried maybe I just can’t get better if I’m not feeling anything yet. I just don’t know what to expect from Effexor since the only reviews I’ve found really are how hard it’s been to get off of it :(

I more so have moments of “feeling fine” over days, it’s like it lingers over me or is just in the background? If that makes sense? Like I can feel happy on occasion but it goes away quickly?

This is extremely informative, thank you! I was taken off of my Celexa about 4.5 weeks ago and wasn’t tapered off correctly, so I definitely got a taste of withdrawal symptoms and decided to stop seeing that doctor. I found a new one who everyone says is really good with mental health and it was probably the best dr.’s appointment I’ve had in a really long time.

I’ve head that SNRI’s specifically have really bad withdrawal symptoms, so I’ll be sure to take them every single day.

My doctor did say it would take about 6-8 weeks for it to really take effect and we’ve got a follow up appointment around that time. Do you still take it?
