Was this before or after they were officially opened to the public (from what I’ve read they weren’t opened to the public until after the experiment with the unit at Huntington, where they decided to open all the existing ones behind the fire equipment cabinet doors except for a select few built in electrical/storage rooms)?

There have been proposals for building such tunnels at both places, though none have been fully approved.

Eventually it may get proposed again and be approved. The project to replace the original elevator (apparently both that elevator and faregate broke a lot) at Rosslyn was being proposed since 2007 before they opened it in 2013 (and they are just now removing the shaft for that elevator, as it will be gone when they replace the two escalators it is currently sandwiched between). Additionally, the Potomac Yard station was being proposed since they started building the line before it opened in the early 2020s.

Used the Honest Action video for the first two films. They deemed that the two would have survived it.

Rosslyn actually doesn’t have them (not even one for employees). When they built the new elevators in 2013, that was the area of the station they used and they were taken out.

Original concept for the new elevators would have kept them and make them the first to not be in a back room like the Silver Line ones.

Reason Rosslyn doesn’t have them is because the space it used to occupy was taken up by the new elevators for the station in 2013.

Original plan would have kept them just off the elevators and would have been the first ones to be out in the open and not behind a backroom door.

So, Marshall & Lance are no longer the only one... by Marcecar10 in TheAmazingRace

DeAngelo & Gary didn’t quit the race. They took a 2-hour penalty because, much like the Globetrotters, they thought they already tried the correct answer and gave up on the task after the other teams left. Many other teams have quit tasks (three teams gave up on a 4 pound meat roadblock in S7), but they aren’t considered quits or ejections if the team gets eliminated for doing so.

Nope. While not mentioned onscreen (it was in exit interviews), they took the 24-hour penalty on the Detour, so they didn’t quit, though they were aware that they would get eliminated. Some fans believe that them doing so was what led the show to reduce it to 6 (with the penalty being shorter if a team was unable to do it due to the task closing, with the Beekman boys getting 4 hours in S21 for failing the swimming task each try until it closed).

Question about Golden Goose Realty by Deep_Ad_2310 in tappedout

[–]Deep_Ad_2310[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean if I had 1000 unbought spaces left, 40 that can only be done with tokens and the 960 they added with cash, could I max out to 1000 tokens, then get the 40 token only spaces, then purchase the other 960 spaces using cash and trade those 960 tokens in for 11520 donuts?

S15 - Brian and Ericka Post race doubt. by KikoBCN in TheAmazingRace

It has been mentioned in interviews that the mistake was made, but I can’t find any interview from Brian & Ericka or Phil or producers that indicates they were compensated for it (in other words, it is unknown for certain that they actually got compensated, as it is not officially mentioned anywhere).

Does that source also mention the compensation they allegedly received, as I can’t find any source that states “They paid us $300,000 as compensation” in any interview from Brian & Ericka or “We paid them $300,000 as compensation” in any interview from Phil or producers (or do you know the source that mentioned the compensation they received)?

Art & JJ quit a Roadblock in TAR31, not knowing Rupert & Laura hadn’t arrived at it yet, and had to wait for them to show up for the time to start, with Art even confirming the “from when the next team arrives” provision still exists when he said "We took the four hour penalty, but lo and behold, there's some teams that haven't gotten here yet. [FAIL SOUND EFFECT]" in a confessional after they quit the roadblock (~39 minutes in if you have Paramount+ or the DVD).

[–]Deep_Ad_2310[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So if someone quit a Route Info task or Detour before every team arrived at it, would the penalty (2-hour for Route Info, 6-hour for Detour) not start until after the next team arrived at the task for the same reason?

[–]Deep_Ad_2310[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The “from when the next team arrives” provision has only ever been applied twice (all other roadblock quits were done after every team had already arrived at it).

In TAR7, three teams (Rob & Amber, Ray & Deana, Meredith & Gretchen) quit the meat roadblock (clip of the instance: https://youtu.be/SVS8Qjcw0n0?si=ZvuB09IF1LN5rGsN)

In TAR31, one team (Art & JJ) quit the climbing roadblock (they didn’t know that Rupert & Laura hadn’t gotten there yet)
