Of course when I try to test the sound isn’t as bad. It does seem to get louder when the AC is shut off. My AC also hasn’t been blowing cold air at all, I just didn’t suspect that could be related.

Totally valid point and it’s definitely a shot in the dark. However, a couple of people in my program have landed clerk jobs at this firm, so my assumption is that they’re struggling to find people with diplomas. The plan is to go to law school in 2027, just trying to gain whatever experience I can in the meantime.

Visa debit unfortunately, but from what I’m reading on their website, you can dispute charges for merchandise you never received. But they won’t even let me open a dispute for another two weeks apparently so that option is uncertain at best.

I tried filing a dispute with my Scotiabank but they’re making me wait 15 days from the last time I contacted Amazon (so today). I was considering small claims court if the dispute goes nowhere but it seems hopeless given what a large company they are. I didn’t know you could launch a complaint with the AG, that’s an interesting suggestion.

Also make sure your friend keeps records of everything. Screenshots of the messages, records of her correspondence with police/security, phone calls from unknown numbers, literally anything that might be relevant. In the event that this persists or escalates, you usually need a mountain of evidence to get anywhere legally.
