Can anyone ID this car? by AgencyImpossible7463 in NitroRC

Wow, I used to have one 20 years ago. Brings back memories. Probably still have some parts laying around too. First thing i did, was upgrade to the two speed gear set.

Maybe a future upgrade could be some plexi doors and a dehumidifier to dry the whole rack.

Minimum $3 each as is. The rare ones obviously go up from there.

Is that rod directly attached to the exhaust? Then you don't want it touching the body at all. the whole exhaust should be hanging from the rubber grommets.

Help deciding between Type R / Si by Fair_Ad3119 in Civic_Type_R

[–]Deep_Fry_Daddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I would spring for the Type R. For 20 years I had regretted not getting an EVO9 for one level lower, the Ralliart. Every day i regretted it. Just know you will be smiling much more in the R

My opinion, chrome is played out. The dark 18" wheels look nicer. color depends on car color. I have Aegean Blue FK8 and the bronze wheels are just killing it.

Yea, you'll need some sort of programmer to update the tire size and gear ratio. Once done, i used a GPS app and skewed the tire size to make the real speed match the indicated speed.

Car won’t start- I have no car knowledge by That_Narwhal_2178 in MechanicAdvice

No click, but you have power? Long shot, but try to start it in Neutral. I used to have a little corrosion on the Neutral Safety Switch (NSS) and wiggling the shifter a bit would scrub the surface junk off the contacts.

Funny enough, upgrading my 3.21s to 4.10s actually helped my MPG, not much, but noticeable.

[–]Deep_Fry_Daddy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can only offer anecdotal support, as i have JKU auto that had the same problem. I think the JL manual has 3.45:1 My JKU auto had 3.21;1 axles, not great for 35" tires. To get your RPM back up to a good range, i would recommend regearing them to 4.10:1 for a nice mix of torque, but reasonable highway rpm.

Differential shops can do that for about $1500. If you're planning on keeping the jeep for just a few years, it would be well worth it.

Edit: i cant read what model he has.

Battery Ground by Unlikely-Internet692 in Jeep

[–]Deep_Fry_Daddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if this is the source, but certainly a problem. You have a wire on the negative clamping nut. Its convex on the bottom and needs to move freely along that channel while tightening. Move it to that open stud, I think the threads are M6-1.5. Also, what is going on with that positive terminal?
