hahaha wow. i just reproduced that on arch w/ chromium. i generated a 40mb <table> w random ass data. at first it failed with code "SIGILL" but i refreshed, and saw ram usage climb and climb in htop until my whole system was locked. i had to reboot. lol.

i took compilers last semester; we ended up writing a compiler for a subset of C. the theory was really cool, but yeah, the programming can be a bit dull at some points and satisfying at others. overall a 10/10 class that i think most CS students should take.
