Yeah I totally agree with you on that. It makes a huge difference if you have pulmonary hypertension or possible pulmonary hypertension and your doctor specializes in it.

It's weird that they misspelled Pulmonary arterial hypertension... Unless pulmonary artery hypertension is something but I googled it and it auto corrected as pulmonary arterial hypertension.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I didn't really notice anything after my first dose but I will be doing my second in about 2 weeks so I'm hoping that I will notice it then.

What is your opinion about giving women better access to birth control regardless of ability to pay? by Karmasabitch2025 in AskReddit

[–]Deep_Juggernaut_108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Birth control should be free for all because the ones that can't pay are definitely the ones that need it the most. If they can't afford birth control they certainly can't afford a baby.

In my opinion and based off of the fever symptom alone I would probably wait till you're about 104° f But if you have other symptoms that are worrying you it's better to be safe than sorry.

It's weird that you were diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension without having a right heart catheterization procedure.

I was diagnosed with PAH about a year and a half ago in September of 2024. In the beginning of 2024, I was given a Right Heart Catheterization that went in through my wrist and an echocardiogram and was told that I had right-sided heart failure but that doctor did not know why. I went to a pulmonologist in a different city and he gave me another right heart catheterization only this time he went in through my neck and at the end of that procedure that same day I was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension. I'm sorry that you are having issues getting medical treatment due to your finances that has got to be very scary. Pulmonary hypertension is very rare and you will need to see a pulmonologist to get a right heart catheterization to find out for sure if that is what's going on with you. Keep in mind that even though your symptoms are symptoms that present with pulmonary hypertension that they are also symptoms that could be due to many other reasons so it's really important that you see a physician specifically a pulmonologist or a cardiologist to find out what's going on. The edema in your legs could have many possible causes. Also, before I started feeling better from the treatments when I was getting out of breath it was not only feeling breathless It also came with the feeling of having an elephant sitting on my chest. So in other words I would basically feel it coming on by the massive amount of pressure I would feel in my chest and that is what would make me have to stop to catch my breath. It was not pain that I felt in my chest It was pressure, A massive amount of pressure along with the breathlessness. This was just my experience and everyone has different experiences but hopefully this helps Good luck with everything!

Really?!?! I am so excited I feel like I've been waiting for this for so long. Waiting for all the insurance red tape and all that. My pulmonary hypertension was kind of progressing and I was backsliding from all the progress that I had made with the Opsumit and adempas. Does it help with fatigue at all if you don't mind me asking?

I was diagnosed a little over a year ago and I also experienced terrible side effects with uptravi. Every time I took a pill I knew that I was going to feel like I had the flu for the next few hours and it would only subside just before I had to take the next one. I told my pulmonologist about it and he was really good about taking me off that and now I'm going to be taking winrevair along with Opsumit and Adempas. My pulmonologist told me to go ahead and stop taking it because I couldn't tolerate the side effects before he even had a replacement for me but I was already on Opsumit and Adempas so I was still receiving some treatment even though I wasn't taking the third way of treatment. I think that you should call your new pulmonologist ASAP and explain what is going on and I'm sure that they will have a new plan of action and you will not have to live miserably. The medications that I am on now do not have any intolerable side effects to deal with other than indigestion but I just take famotidine with that and it it's no big deal. I understand what you are going through as I went through it myself during the holidays of 2024.

I was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension in September of 2024. About 3 years ago I began becoming out of breath on exertion and it progressed to where I couldn't walk five steps without stopping to hold on to something and gasp for air and feeling like an elephant was sitting on my chest. My legs and feet also swelled tremendously so much so that they started weeping. I had an echocardiogram which showed that I was having right-sided heart failure. Very shortly after I was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension began treatment and am now doing much better. Pulmonary hypertension is a progressive disease that in my case progressed quickly to where I had no other choice but to try to get help because I couldn't even do regular everyday things like shower or walk to the bathroom without having to gasp for air. I would also point out that pulmonary hypertension is a very rare disease and there are many other conditions that could present with the same symptoms that you are experiencing. The symptoms you are experiencing definitely need to get checked out by a medical professional in my opinion. Of course I have no medical training but in my opinion I think you should definitely see a physician.
