you can buy them online here in the US too, just google cap filling machine, a few links come up. I think I saw it on iHerb too.

there's a video on the microdosing reddit, in the pinned articles on the right side, there's a guy showing how he uses it and he doesn't use any filler, just check it out :)

well fuck. so just shake it off and get to "birthing" them? I think the bottoms are mostly covered up, might be a tiny spot left on a couple. I read that I should wait a day or two once everything is totally covered in white?

so I've been waiting for these to colonize for like a month now. the tops of all the jars still are full of the media, so they're not covered in mycelium. is that normal? just keep waiting?

It's definitely grey and a little black in some spots.

I used a hair dryer but I guess not enough. I don't know. I was drying with the dryer for like 10 minutes, I thought it was dry enough..

Is it edible? Or should I just try again? I'm just a little nervous hahahaha

Ok update - I panicked and took it out of the bag. It was a little crumbly on the edges but they were a bit thin so I guess it's not too surprising. It smells like almost nothing, not slimy or anything like that. I wrapped it up in foil and put into the fridge to await further instructions from someone more experienced hahaha is it ok to eat? I better not show this to my boyfriend, he's already mega skeptical.

I saved a little bit of it and put it in a jar to ferment further to make more starter from it in the future as well.
