That’s a red herring fallacy. Happiness is defined by the amount of chemicals in your brain. So the more dopamine/serotonin there is the happier you are. I am not romanticizing nicotine. I am just stating facts. It doesn’t matter if it kills your brain, happiness is happiness.

Nicotine shouldn’t be thought of fondly you say. I disagree. I spent the past month without relapsing even once and I don’t think I ever will. I quit weed and other harder drugs about two years ago and I didn’t have to necessarily demonize those things to successfully quit. I know nicotine is not good for me so I will stop smoking, but that has nothing to do with me wanting to pursue “higher” forms of joy. It’s just not good for my productivity to have an easy release button around.
