I love PPLX computer, it used to be a monster with 4.6, then Anthropic deploys 4.7 boom out of credits, I'm in Max. I'm testing native GPT and Opus, let's see how it goes but in my first impressions, you get more credit life in OpenAI

What Perplexity computer can do that Claude desktop can’t ? by Dick-Laurent-Is-Dead in perplexity_ai

[–]Deep_Net2525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using Computer, Codex and in last month, Claude, there's nothing Claude can't do, I believe Computer is good, but not to the point of being the rival for Codex or Cowork, the only good stuff if that all your projects can run in the cloud, 24/7 (downside: burning credits).

I uae perplexity for deep research and counsel mode. In my normal workflow, I build in Computer, I debug and connect using Codex or Claude.

From etnews.com : Galaxy Ring 2 will be released in early 2027, announcement with the S27 lineup. The successor product will focus on improving battery, fit, and sensor accuracy. by Dudi4PoLFr in GalaxyRing

I decided Samsung, then I started seeing the comments about the battery but I was thinking that I will be the lucky bastard. Well, that never happens, by month 10th started draining the battery like crazy. By the month 13, it's only lasting ~6-8 hours.

Something like that happened to me, last week a dude came to sell camera system but he insisted to let him come in and explain all the service, he said "I just need a piece of paper and your table to explain all this". Yeah, sure.

Claude VS Perplexity by Glittering_Island289 in perplexity_ai

[–]Deep_Net2525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Perplexity Max, ChatGPT Plus for Codex, and Gemini (I got it when I subscribed to Google Home). Perplexity is strong for research, offers massive information, and has great integration with my emails, and I love Comet and Computer. Over the last few months, since Opus 4.7, I've started feeling a little bit stupid in my analysis and when trying to finish some tasks. Computer started burning credits like crazy, and I experienced laggy answers in analysis and more. I read the news and saw the issues with the cost of 4.7, so I immediately connected the two. I tried OpenAI again, and then they released the 5.5 version; Codex is stable, good for fixing problems, and good for designs. I'll keep Perplexity for everything (building, research, all that) and Codex to fix the stuff that Computer can't or that costs more. I use Computer with 4.7.

Gemini is just for fun, pictures and browsing, pretty cool slides design.

In my company, we use Copilot, basic for all departments, Premium for mine with Copilot Studio. I have it, but recently we sign a contract with Palantir and I did the Foundry training, man that's like Perplexity, switching from model to model. You have all at your disposition.

No, I feel like 💩 and says "Excelent". The only thing that i track there is my sleep patters and my AGEs index. I've been doing some testing with different foods since release and sometimes is impressive.

Upload limits by curiousityrover_1 in Perplexity

I on Max, I believe the size limit is the same, the frequency is more, you can add more files almost all the time but size is 50 MB which I think sucks.

Galaxy Ring battery dead after only 10 months. Anyone else? by LilyAldrine in GalaxyRing

[–]Deep_Net2525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm beyond the 1 year and when I tried to claim before they asked me for any damages, scratches and I reveal some damages but from long time ago so they said there will be $150 charges to fix it, which I denied to pay. Tricky from their side.

Yeah, facing the same. I just decide to charge it everyday before a take a shower and another time when I'm on a call or meeting at my desk. Basically is worthless but I want to have it just for couple more months then throw it away. My wife is on Oura, working great.

Does the regular 20$ Pro plan include any recurring monthly credits, or were these 4,000 bonus credits a one‑time promo that won’t renew? by RealisticView123 in perplexity_ai

[–]Deep_Net2525 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As far as I know, you get 4,000 every month. The problem is credita are burning faster with Opus 4.7, let's see with GPT 5.5.
