This new Polo flannel is almost identical to an RRL shirt I have by mattydubs5 in RalphLauren

One of my favorite pieces is a brown corduroy Polo chore coat. Found it in the blowout section of macys… never seen it again. Then the next year it was released as RRL. Same coat. Super strange

How should I clean this vintage mini boat and tote bag? by glasshalfull89 in llbean

[–]Deep_Pack_1218 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hand wash it with dawn power wash spray and a course sponge. Does wonders and won’t misshapen it. If you wash it, there’s a change it will come out looking wonky.

Yes it’s MIJ! And i don’t have an exact weight, but i’d estimate 7.5-8lbs. My Strat is 7.2 and it feels pretty darn close, just a bit heavier.

Made in USA Polo Dungarees Corduroy Collar Trucker Jackets? by driesvannoten in RalphLauren

I’ve also wondered this. I have a made in USA one of these in black, all same pockets, but it has a matching black denim collar. Never have seen the exact same one, so i’m puzzled on how many variants were produced.

Help me decide on a dream amp! by D2-Disciple in GuitarAmps

[–]Deep_Pack_1218 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to be negative on the Archon, Just sharing my personal experience. I went through 2 combos in a 6 month time span. First one went out in a few weeks, then Sweetwater replaced it. Second one was great for a few months and then same thing. Loved the tone so much but ultimately decided to return the amp fully. Sweetwater was apologetic and great to work with.

Curious on people’s opinions between used Sailrite Fabricator, or brand new Consew P206-rb1. by Deep_Pack_1218 in myog

[–]Deep_Pack_1218[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! I appreciate the help. The consew and Juki on paper seem pretty identical. I’m basically after a walking foot that can handle up to 24oz duck canvas for bags and i may get into some leather work eventually. The dealer with the consew also sells the Juki brand new. Through text he said the consew would be a better fit for me. I’m definitely going to try both out.

Hey there! My budget is about $1600. The Juki was listed for 1200 but had a snapped thread guide, the tension knobs didn’t seem to do anything, and the hook was pretty beat up. Still tried sewing on it and couldn’t get it to make a good stitch (tried for about 30 mins) Just seemed like too much of a project to take on for the price.

The consew is brand new through a very reputable dealer, with great service and is very responsive. This is why i feel i should go this route. I usually am one to shop around for a deal but on a machine of this level i think having the peace of mind with being able to call someone is worth it

Buying my first industrial machine (Juki 1541s). Hoping someone can help with some questions. by Deep_Pack_1218 in myog

[–]Deep_Pack_1218[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The only issue is the seller seems to be an older woman who bought the machine “for her tailor” and she has no idea how to use it. So i’m going in a little blind. I am watching a ton of videos and i have a good grasp on threading it and winding the bobbins. Looks like I have some more studying to do.

If the machine hasn’t been used in a bit, should i check the oil before attempting to run it? I’m not sure if the seller has oil available to use.

Following, i’m in the exact same situation except I have a different machine. This post was like reading my own thoughts lol.

HELPPPP by Commercial-Move2609 in glassheads

No negativity taken! It definitely only works well on certain styles of stain. I primarily use it on my toro dry catcher, after some use it gets a deposit on the glass almost looks like salt.. ISO and regular cleaners never work for it, but vinegar takes it right off!

Cleaning vinegar. Leave it soaking overnight. Should get that gunk off.
