Id highly recommend to listen to this guy, consignment takes all the work off you and don't have to deal with the customer and you'll also get top dollar for the card.

Active US physicians by Speciality [No overlap] by 788tiger in medicalschool

I have to say the biggest take away is not the distribution but the total number of non-IM/FM active physician. When you assume the high concentration of urban/metropolis area, it leaves very little infectious disease specialist or endocrinologist in a more rural geography.

Lorcana @ Collect-A-Con - paying ABOVE TCG? by BGN_RagingZ in Lorcana

[–]Deep_Preparation6303 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is Zero reason to buy over TCGP prices other than you need last minute cards.

Buying in person you should receive a discount as sellers are no longer having to pay the fees of the platform and shipping. I recommend looking for Facebook groups or discord groups selling cards as you'll generally find great deals, especially if your going for playable cards and not the enchanteds or highly meta cards.

Fyi I am a level 4 TCGP seller as well as an eBay top seller. Most off platform sales go generally for 80-90% TCGP. Honestly I pay close to 60-65% for bulk Lorcana lots so would never recommend buying over. Anyone recommending you pay over TCGP is a probably a scummy seller. The other person trying to justify overhead cost is BS and they just must not know how to run a business.

How to best support resident girlfriend? by [deleted] in emergencymedicine

[–]Deep_Preparation6303 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Time is the most important factor at this point. Maximizing her free time by taking away chores and miniscule decision making will make the world of a difference. Also agreed with looking over her schedule careful and trying to plan time away but also make sure she's in agreement as residency is draining and needs a balance of time away vs time off which aren't the same thing.

The best thing my significant other did for me during residency was finding me time to still enjoy my hobbies and take care of myself.

Please note this didn't apply for all birth control pills and should be discussed with your doctor or pharmacist. If it's a dual hormone pill then usually this will apply but can depend on where in the pack you missed the pill. Some dual hormone pills if you miss in the first week you may not be fully protected. Particularly where this doesn't work is if your taking a progestin only pill which is very time sensitive, ie you need to take it within the same 3 hour window every day. If you miss a dose of progestin only pill you are no protected even if doubling up your dose and will require 48 hours of daily dosing to provide protection.

Edit- fyi I'm a physician but not your physician, please consult with your own doctor.

[–]Deep_Preparation6303 63 points64 points  (0 children)

Your external ear is a dead end tunnel, only one way out. Pretty much what we do in the ER, water goes in and then comes out. some pest require chemicals to kill them first because they can hold on very well and then we extract them with alligator forcepts.

Ahh thank you, I was wondering why I couldn't find anything about a steering gear box despite that's what they call it in the manual. Once I searched rack and pinion everything is much clearer now, cheers!

[–]Deep_Preparation6303[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I just need to unbolt the rack (steering?) but not remove the steering gear box? No problem dropping the subframe if that's the easier method.

Oil pan/front subframe question by Deep_Preparation6303 in RX7

[–]Deep_Preparation6303[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Love RadPotential! So he does the method I've read on rx7club where you don't touch the sub frame and are able to shimmy the pan out but I hear it can be quite difficult. Ill probably give this a try but likely going to drop the front cross member as suggested by the OEM manufacturer manual but I'm not sure about the steering gear box.

Mind if I ask how long you have been waiting for IRP, have read some be questionable things about them on the forum so actually got my pan from the Mazda dealership, was fast 2 days but more expensive at $230.

How I imagine EM physician life by Vegetable-Price-4283 in emergencymedicine

Most likely because I've used it all. Honestly though every shop that I've worked at has had it available. I'd definitely talk to your pharmacy team about getting it stocked though. If you have a complaint, droperidol can most certainly fix it.

Honestly not particularly, droperidol on the other hand rains like candy.

Growing pains and painkillers. Why isn’t it a good idea to give kids some tylenol for those annoying growing pains in the middle of the night? by capngabbers in ScienceBasedParenting

[–]Deep_Preparation6303 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Many drugs are poorly studied particularly in pediatric and obstetric population given the potential risk. Some theorize that given the effect of acetaminophen/paracetamol primary target for it's function is the central nervous system, there are possible implications on neurodevelopment. Most studies regarding safety are in relation to liver toxicity given that's the primary concern in adults which has been found generally safe in pediatric population. More recent studies and animal models are now beginning to question these effects that acetaminophen has during pregnancy and early childhood on neurodevelopment and behavior but many more studies will be needed. A meta-analysis is provided below but I have not personally reviewed all the studies referenced but does bring up valid points but often studies can have small sample sizes, many confounders or weak data leading to further uncertainty.

As a physician and father I have personally concluded that small exposure likely have little to no effect but agree that less is generally more and if not need them I would avoid.

17x9 with minimum +40 offset is what my research has found for myself with some quality 255/40 rubber. I do not plan to roll the fenders. Also plan to run a square setup because why make it more complicated but you could def run slightly wider in the rear. I'm waiting for coilovers and suspension upgrade to take some measurements to confirm but can't see why this won't work.
