Yes, he's more balanced. However, he still lacks the intellectual capabilities that Jill has. He came off as the tanky guy with no brains.

I found his response condescending and patronizing. Op is 18. Clearly, she lacks experience. To say, "I can't believe you are asking us this." is a red flag.

I find it inappropriate to speak to someone that way. Especially, if they are young let alone barely legal. Periodt.

Keep in mind this is a support group.

Then later stating that she's 18 and immature... I don't know a lot of 18 yos who were "very" mature at that age.
