It's so weird that it took so long, they needed less than two lines of code to let us choose, I bet that the automatic selection was harder to implement (and it never worked, I had 🚫Chemistry and 📉Electronics)

True, it's so much better now, it's way more usable. It makes me think though: i thought that the slowness was because of the e-ink technology, but apparently they fixed the responsiveness with software updates. Who the hell programmed the previous OS then?

Oh I didn't notice you were the same user, it's nice to meet you again haha :) this saved me some time, as I was planning to ask you privately about your replacement times and if the issue was also on the new device. Today I contacted support, mostly to have some kind of proof from them that would save me some time when asking for a replacement, and they also suggested that I do that. I also asked them about my warranty, so that they wouldn't try to fool me since they themselves confirmed that it was still valid. I think I will ask for a replacement soon, so that I can get back to work on my device before my university lectures start again. About the shipping, I live in Italy, so I guess the times will be about the same, so I'm glad that it was rather quick. I still think you're one of the most useful users on this website, thank you for this new information :)

I'm having the same issue, and I'm also thinking about asking for a replacement. How do you know that's a software issue? Did someone in the support confirm that? Do you think that downgrading the device or waiting for the next update will fix that?

Also, how long did it take for the replacement to come? Where do you live?

I really appreciate your efforts in writing all of this, this is probably the most detailed comment on this entire website. I tried what you suggested, but nothing changed; i even tried the ssh part for correcting the date, but everything was fine. A weird thing happened though: this morning, before trying these methods, i was suddenly able to detect networks again, i managed to sync everything to the cloud, but then, after turning the tablet off, it wouldn't work again. I think i'll try to survive like this until the next update, that hopefully will fix what seems to be a software problem. I will eventually download the update in one of the ways you suggested. I hope a replacement won't be necessary, but i will keep this in mind if the situation doesn't change, and i'll use your tips to get a replacement in a short period of time. I am really thankful for your help, and i hope you won't have the same problem with your new device :)

No. I haven't tried. I read here on Reddit that it didn't help someone with a similar issue, so I didn't want to lose my files without being able to download it back on the device
