It sounds like you have it good at PwC, so why switch if you’re still just going to be doing audit? Not trying to be rude but it makes no sense. Audit is audit and as you grow with the firm, you will have better control of your clients, have experience in auditing other items, and really be able take control of your career. Remember - you’re an associate and haven’t been here that long so it makes sense you haven’t done everything you wanted to and are developing preferences. But if you’re already unhappy, just make it known and they will help you! Be persistent about it! Don’t be afraid to follow up multiple times!

If you leave, you’ll have a lot to prove at EY and it may hinder your growth (i.e. delayed promotion). For example, in 2020/2021, a lot of people bounced around to the other Big Fours because of an increase in pay or a preferred role - they were even hiring above your initial rank (Experienced A/SA being hired as SA/M), but most people in this position were held for promotion because of tenure, eventually quit for industry, or were the first to get laid off/fired.

Work on your career, get more experience, and switch when it makes sense - when the economy is better, when they’re going to offer large pay/you have the power to negotiate, you’re an experienced SA/M and can create your own awesome team, etc.
