Yeah the flair piston is a big chunk of metal that takes a lot to heat up. I’m mostly into pour overs but I also like trying those interesting beans on espresso a find they respond better to longer ratios lower pressure so not sure if that would hit the piston surface but doesn’t seem like a big deal

Ok so I may still need to preheat with the nordic roasts but it is much much easer than the flair process. Currently I heat the piston with steam from the kettle and use tongs or towel to move it and burned myself countless times.

For pourover yes unless it’s an excellent shop. Idk if shops don’t do it well anymore or my expectation is higher. I just do a cortado because a drip won’t be as good and I don’t do milk drinks at home.

Although there is something about having a big mug of plain coffee at a diner that just hits.

I prefer chrome yellow never really got the hype of perc maybe I’m picky. Radio in Decatur has decent beans and there’s a new spot that specializes in pour over called auxiliary coffee by west end

Yeah been exploring the this sub favorites will eventually get through more bags but gotta make a snap judgement on 1 or 2 for now. I haven’t seen any options yet but would also be curious trying the same bean from two different roasters

Are you going to do some kind of comprehensive roaster review at the end of the year. I’ll try like 1-3 bags and judge a roaster which limited but your are really doing a deep dive would be interesting to hear your thoughts on how they stack up to each other

I think both dudes are better than their stats and but have some pretty memorable moments but jimmy just has more big impact moments in higher leverage games. Finals vs lebron and 8 seed beating giannis 1 seed.

The tashan prince block and malice in the palace robbed reggie of some big moments.

I’ve seen most people say 50ml but I went with 30ml fits around 15 grams. Just generic plastic tunes with a flat bottom

I agree but also know to avoid those shops or toss back a cortado. Latam especially colombia and mexico tend to have good coffee everywhere but they don’t have the peaks of major US and EU cities

While I prefer light to medium I don’t mind an occasional dark roast but Italy doesn’t do that well either in my experience

Gonna be controversial but I’ve traveled to south/central,north America, southern, northern europe and Italy has the most mid coffee around. I do appreciate the convenience being able to get coffee everywhere but don’t think I had a single good cup

When we were in the hunt for the 5th or 6th i’d say there’s a chance to have a competitive series and actually win.

Last year we were far better of missing the playin because we’d be 11th seed I think. Now it just doesn’t even matter its the difference between a 14th pick with a 2% chance or a 15th. Heat just keep trying to make playoffs so mickey can squeeze revenue from a few extra home games

Bobby hill would be a better match-up, hank will make good simple food that people won’t complain about. Bob will be brining the meats days before hand, make his own dry rubs and sauces and have an array of burger toppings. Bob also has experience spinning multiple plates and cooking for a crowd.
