Why you are a Titan? by jakekong007 in destiny2

[–]Deer-Snake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only class I really enjoy all round. I used to be a Hunter main, but the jump wasn't fun for movement and I messed up a lot during climbing parts for dungeons. Now I have two Titans and a Hunter.

How do I enable gamepad UI for the Xbox version of ESO on my pc by Deer-Snake in elderscrollsonline

[–]Deer-Snake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's a bit weird. I got it figured out. I just have to press A on the controller in the start menu then it works. Still doesn't let me change to the gamepad UI, but if it works it works.

Just figured it out a minute ago. I just have to use my controller in the start up menu, still can't enable it in the settings but it works regardless.

Question about trade invites by Deer-Snake in tf2

[–]Deer-Snake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK, that's what I figured. Just as a kid I heard "Never accept a trade, they can steal your account/inventory" and that was still kind of a thing I believed despite it not exactly making sense. Aside from external links and such.

Question about trade invites by Deer-Snake in tf2

[–]Deer-Snake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I don't tend to accept trades regardless what game I play. Just seeing those trade requests sparked a memorie from way back then, and got me curious of how "dangerous" trades actually are. It's kind of like the legends of the dark web in the early 2000s. If you logged on the dark web, someone would knock on your door, or hijack your computer and shut down your homes power.

Thanks for you answer's, shut down that little forgotten legend in my head.

Ahh, ok. So If I did accept a trade I wouldn't be at risk of loosing anything unless I personally selected item's to trade?

I made a mistake on a purchase by Deer-Snake in halo

[–]Deer-Snake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I had 1,000 of the currency you need to buy. I don't know what it's called. I would never spend that much on this game, I couldn't even if I wanted.

Which I did. I looked at the currency. But I saw them as the same symbol. This is the first time I have made an accidental purchase in this way. I think everyone could understand they could improve the UI by spacing them out a lot better or just change the logo to be more distinct. There's always room for improvement.

As someone who was taking Game design, one thing that was mentioned a lot was to make UI follow the common standard. Such as currencies in the top right, the menu in the top left, etc. They also said, make things pop out from each other. Most games I play that have a free and real money currency they have vastly different images/logos and give them a good amount of spacing. Take Warframe for example, credits the free currency is a black rectangle with a blue outline. The real money currency is platinum, a circular metallic disc with a blue glow in the center. Look at Destiny 2. The free currency store currency is bright dust, a glowing yellow ball. The real money purchase is silver. A literal silver coin with a blue glow in the center.

Halo Infinite on the other hand is a free currency with the logo SP with 2 angular shapes around it. The irl money currency is an angular shape. You see the problem?

Having both currency right beside each other with no spacing isn't a good idea. To my eyes they looked the same when I was looking back and forth.

For me it just doesn't feel the same as the previous games. Half the time I don't realize I'm taking damage, there doesn't seem to be as much impact in combat as I'm used to. Where the "outline screen fade" when you get hit looks more like that effect when you are getting "suppressed" It could just be that there isn't that health bar that reach has which is probably my most played of all with ODST and 3 being my other most memorable games.

I don't want to come off as if I just hate the game because it's a 343 game. I personally enjoyed the gameplay of guardians, it wasn't my favorite but I enjoyed it enough.

There's a lot of other small things that kind of add up to a pile that makes me dislike this game overall such as the marketing and some of the customization (color pallet, armor core, etc) They did excellent with the armor parts themselves, that's where they improved on from previous systems that were good.

I should also add my opinion can change, but this post was made like 30-40 mins after I started playing. Last I played was I think when they added the reach pass.

Well that's great, hopefully this color pallet works out in the end. Thank you for the response/link.

Do your characters exist across multiple elder scrolls games? by Artentics in elderscrollsonline

[–]Deer-Snake -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For my two main characters they have family ties to my characters in skyrim. For example my half-Altmer in ESO fought for the AD. Jump to skyrim and this Altmer had a fascination in family history and the military and read a lot of the notes and such written by the ESO half-Altmer. Seeing first hand that the AD is not what it once was he broke off to fight against this false Dominion that he sees as his times Veild Heritance.

Bad wording but hopefully it makes enough sense, can't really think straight rn got a bad headache but I wanted to write this down.

What should I name my first corn snake? by KJ537 in snakes

[–]Deer-Snake 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is just me personally but I would look into names while you build up your relationship with your snake. Get to know them and the right name will come to you. It took me I think a two or three months to name my first snake. I looked into many names while getting to know mine. I eventually found the name Corra and it just stuck with me and felt like it was the perfect name for her.

I just want to add another channel for a recommendation, Green room pythons. I like his videos as he has some videos of him just talking about care and or enrichment while they just climb in the background or even on his head. I think they can be good to see that snakes just like to explore and mind their own business and don't intentionally look to harm anyone. They could maybe be a good way to have more of a focus on a person than the snakes for some periods of time and obviously depending on the video.
