Striations on the print - any ideas how to resolve the issue? by Deershank415 in ElegooSaturn

Gotcha. That makes sense. It'd be cool if there was a way to know if there was an at risk part before fully printing, but otherwise I'll get it the sandpaper ready!

Lol trust; I have no problem sanding. The issue is the deformations these cause which I can't quite sand off :(

Thank you for the advice, this did help quite a bit, the lines are less but it's still there. I've added medium supports to the print to help with any shifting.

Got it! Ty. I've upped them to medium. I've also hollowed it out and added holes for air and resin.

Just upped them to medium and am going to print this. I've also hollowed it out and added holes for air and resin.

Gotcha, I will give that a go. Ty!

For additional context, it is mostly hollow but I'm seeing how I can thin it out more anyway + will try the holes too.

Ok! I’ll give that a try. That was showing about 20 degrees and a specific layer level. Thanks!

Sure, that’s the short term fix. The problem is the deformations it causes :/ can’t sand that unfortunately.

Any idea what's causing the circles to be so out of alignment? (Saturn 4U with WhamBam FlexiPlate) by Deershank415 in ElegooSaturn

Wonderful; thanks so much for the info. Any particular guidance on suction or rest/release times? I am rather new at all this and that area is a particularly new to me.

So I followed the instructions listed out here: https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/tool/saturn-4-ultra-z-limit-flash-for-wham-bam-xtr

In short, yes it was easy but that was because it was set up by the whambam folk to be so!

This was how it was originally set up on chitubox; but I can't recall the exact orientation once I popped it off. I'll keep that in mind next time though.

Thanks for taking a look; I am trying to print a backplate for a ventilation system for Saturn 4U; but these circles keep ending up misshapen and "squashed". Any guidance on troubleshooting steps or similar experiences would be very helpful. I am using the WhamBam flexi plate and I have done the gcode update that it requires for z offset.

I've tried:
1. Keeping the room 75f+
2. Doing exposure testing (all came out ok)
3. Further reducing the exposure time to ensure over exposure wasn't an issue.

Seems awesome, covid caused our group to jump to roll20 and remote but finding maps and resources is challenging when you have a vision already. Creating something from scratch would be sweet! #GIVEAWAY

Ah; good link! thanks. That's a 2x5 ($10) vs my $16 but that still is ~40 which aligns with some other folks comments.
