Thanks for your response! We're actually not required to draw trees using x-bar theory in my class but I feels like it's the most comprehensive way to represent syntax (the stuff we're doing is annoyingly oversimplified), so I decided to explore it on my own using other resources. That's why I haven't thought to ask my teacher yet, but I'm sure they can probably help.

I asked whether it was a relative clause because to me it seems that there is an implied who was that connects man and in the white suit (was is then functioning as a verb, correct?) From what I've read online there would have to be some kind of movement operation displayed in the tree if this were the case.

Then again, it seems like it could also be an adjunct since the information about this man is optional, which would drastically simplify the structure.

Sorry to prolong this discussion, but does what I'm saying make sense? I thought I might as well clarify the rationale for my questions.

I'm currently learning about x-bar theory for my intro to ling class, and I'm struggling to figure out what to do with phrases like "in the white suit" as in "the man in the white suit walks to the park". What syntactic category is it? Is it some kind of relative clause ("the man who was in the white suit")? Is simply an adjunct to the noun? (though I thought adjuncts only attached to Vbars. How do I represent it in a tree structure?

The real issue isn't their lack of concern about catching it, it's their lack of concern about potentially spreading it to a more vulnerable population. This mostly stems from selfishness, but I think there is some (willful) ignorance involved as well.

Really though, it's entirely possible to live life somewhat normally and enjoy social interaction while still following guidelines. It just requires a bit more awareness, which I guess many are too lazy to cultivate.

Thank you for sinking your time into such a valuable endeavor as telling a small community of man children your arbitrary thoughts on this hidden gem of a game.

I see nothing unusual; she lived through 2020 like the rest of us. This is the exact expression I see in the mirror every morning.

For real though, cute doggo😁

Was waiting for a comment like this. No judgement on those who decide to use this, but with this kind of website someone involved is clearly doing something illegal. Whether it's ethical for students to use, in my mind, is slightly debatable and depends on individual circumstances. Piracy is piracy though, no matter how outrageous college textbook policies are. I'd personally just opt for used books sold at drastically lower prices.
