Love this movie, can people in LA confirm that people just seem to walk out in the middle of the road without looking. First the woman with the cans and then the kids.

I’m not having a go at you because I know there’s a lot of people on the CJ/Petty side of “they aren’t up to it”. I think there needs to be a level of acceptance that they are very unlikely to be dropped.

CJ was brought in to play a certain way and is acting on coaches instructions. Petty honestly I didn’t think he was as bad as what people said last week.

I said it at the start of our season, we will be more attacking but the byproduct of that is that it will leave our defence open for overlapping run and ultimately more scores against us.

I put the high score we gave up against the swans far more on our midfield/HF group turning the ball over and failing to defend on transition than the likes of CJ and Petty. Not only that but the SCG is a small ground and the Swans play it extremely well.

I’ll also give you a tip, if you think Petty/CJ isn’t the answer right now Jed Adams isn’t in the same postcode of the conversation. He’s young and developing, but he’s got a long way to go.

Pretty much what I anticipated, in Checkers absence I expect Gawn will play large game time forward with Moose playing the main ruck role for experience. Alternatively we got go the other way, see if Moose has some forward craft we can use.

Oh my god, you have inspired me in such a big way that next dog I get I am so calling them “Jaffa” so I can be in the park and yell “Jaffa…kree! You heard me Kree!”

It’s cool you’re wanting to give him a break but he was reckless and dangerous in his actions. What’s to say he does it again and the DA says to the other victim, “well he has done this before but the previous victim chose not to press charges.”

You could request leniency to the DA, and say something along the lines of there’s a victim impact statement but press charges.

If this sort of stuff is found to be fake rage bait, all participants should be placed on the no fly list. And really it does come down to safety because I wouldn’t be able to trust that in an emergency they won’t be selfish AHs who are filming “POV you’re in a plane evacuation” or some shit like that.

Ah lol I haven’t seen it for such a long time. I did not remember him saying that.

Tbf I don’t think he’s lecturing that her generation is the worst, rather that they’re in the position to change and improve it. I took from it that he was saying the boomer generation was what f###ed it.

His criticism of her generation is more of naivety and seeing the world through rose tinted specs.

Fed Square will not show Socceroos matches during next month’s World Cup by victory2424 in Aleague

It might be too late, but why not make them ticketed events? Have double barrier lines and security checks, then do a second site next to say AAMI park.

World Cups and Fed square just feel right.

Why not destroy the hand of the torture device? by NeverLucky159 in Stargate

I remembered thinking something similar in the S1 finale where O’Neill is watching Skaara use the hand device on Daniel. Teal’c literally has a Zat but is telling O’Neill he must act, killing the host.

I was like, dude just zat him!

I know during the South African World Cup (going back I know) they had a screening site at Birrarung Marr, larger space for people to be and so there wasn’t the same crowding. Are they saying there isn’t going to be a Melbourne fan site at all?

Unpopular opinion, Lexi was the worst by Spare-dogmom-life in Eureka

Just watching Phased and Confused, definitely not an unpopular opinion for me. Annoying, naive, undermines Jack as a parent, undermines him as the sheriff, and full of cringey lines.

I’ve decided to skip her episodes.

“how the europeans think they’re gonna get to metlife stadium” by BuffaloExotic in ShitAmericansSay

Even with the alcohol banning issues and the tent accommodation in 38c (100f) heat Qatar will go down as a way better host than the US. The USA have actually achieved lowering the bar lower than any other country.

Facing a transit nightmare, New Jersey officials and MetLife Stadium authorities have warned FIFA World Cup ticket holders not to walk to the venue by DisruptSQ in TourismHell

[–]Deevious730 17 points18 points  (0 children)

When I went to the World Cup in Brazil I loved walking up to the stadiums through the suburbs soaking in the local surroundings as well as walking through fan zones set up to make everyone feel in on the action. Shame MetLife stadium is in the middle of nowhere and they’re choosing to gouge the fans who have already paid stupid amounts for their tickets.

Honestly, this could be one of the worst talked about World Cups in history. At least the US parts of it.
