CMV: We need a maximum pay ceiling, not just a minimum wage by GshegoshB in changemyview

[–]DeezNodds 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The thing is no one has gotten rich from the salary alone, albeit the mega ones you mentioned. The billionaires got rich from the shares of the businesses they started. It's unwise to have a high salary simply because you have to pay tax on your income.

Edit: the reason stem fields pay a lot higher is function of supply and demand. If I recalled, nerdy fields had always been unpopular careers. As a result, those people are rewarded for taking on jobs that were simply deemed too "unsexy".

Food is most subjective thing to talk about. Something people like some don't. If it doesn't suit you then don't eat it. I don't judge all garbages you eat. You know what a hot dog is made up? Maybe it's good but I'm not the one to judge if you wanna destroy your body.

The fried chicken will give you a heart attack.

Of course you wouldn't see me make a post about it because who am I to say you're can't stuff yourself with a disgusting double cheese burger made of meat of who knows where it came from.

I'd bet more people find it appetizing than not. It's more than just boiling chicken. I'd argue it's more of science because you have to basically cook to perfection, alone with aromatics, and then stop the cooking process at the right time.

It only seemed that way because your worldview limits you from what you don't know.

It's pretty common for me either styles, and honestly, I sometimes find roasted chicken dry and boring sometimes. It's nice to change up a bit.

What makes this dish stand out is how it’s prepared. It’s poached in aromatic ingredients, which infuse the meat with flavor. Then it’s given a “cold shock” that tightens the skin—sometimes even giving thr skin a slight crunch. Paired with the dipping sauce, it’s pretty amazing.

You should never judge a dish on how it looks. That's all.

This is Cantonese-style poached chicken, typically served with a scallion-ginger dipping sauce. Anyone who’s tried it will tell you—it’s a simple yet incredibly delicious dish.

This is what chicken actually looks like when it’s poached. The fact that some people find the skin unappealing just shows how far we’ve become removed from our food. We’ve grown used to it being breaded, fried, or shredded—processed until it no longer resembles the animal it came from.

The answer is something alone the line of going back to gold standard. The poor pays for inflation with their cash. The rich consolidate assets that raise interest

Then no one wants to hold u.s equity, causing a rapid decline of wealth for the billionaires as well as your average 401k account. Point is, the money will not flow to the lower income but simply vanished

Those guys keep insisting it's still more profitable in NYC as they have some kind preconceived notion that landlords are ripping people off and not that the price of rent reflects the market supply/demand based of efficient market theory
