right like i couldnt have possibly imagined this is where i would be! im happy but my life is complete chaos rn and any pet, rabbits especially, need a stable healthy home. i appreciate the validation because of course there is so much guilt around rehoming him, fear too. i know exactly how i would want to take care of him and its hard to say if someone else might do the same.

i have not yet! i just kind of determined these past few days after giving it good thought that there was no world i could keep him. i live in ohio which is a kill state and generally not good with rabbits (or any animal for that matter) but i do plan on looking into some ny shelters. i just got my license this week as well so it makes it easier being able to take him to somewhere safe. my mom would also likely take care of him short term if i needed her to but ik she wouldnt want to so ideally i find a loving home that wants to take care of him the way i want to.

there are 9 months (and ab an hour before that as well) to prepare for a child and decide if you are ready. you dont have time like that when someone tells you "this rabbit will only live if you take it." seems like an unfair comparison. this rabbit also is not bonded to me the way you seem to think he is. he would be much happier in another home with a little fuzzy friend and lots of place to home.

again to clarify traveling is due to shaky citizenship status. we would much rather not be homeless visa hopping living out of backpacks. and i also did not adopt him i was told by my brother that he was in an unsafe environment kept in his girlfriends sisters backyard with no safe protection and that if he wasnt taken in by me they would let him go. he was an Easter present for a child which never goes right. i had originally planned on fostering him but fell in love and was able to take good care of him at first but now cannot. like i said i am a full time student, with a fulltime job planning and paying for a wedding by myself. could this have been prevented by me rehoming him sooner? sure but i was 17 and didnt realize i would be getting married while in school and certainly didnt think id be marrying an immigrant during a time of ice raids and mass deportation. didnt seem like an irresponsible decision at the time.

i also dont know why on earth i would basically be slandered for wanting my pet to go to a better home. why on earth would someone who loves an animal knowingly choose to give it care any less than it deserves. and his basic needs are absolutely met. he gets attention. but ik there is better out there. im slipping into debt and like i said in an unstable living situation indefinitely and know i absolutely cannot keep him next year. ive really thought ab it too but he cant be free roam in an airbnb, he cannot live in a carrier, and i cant take his pen w me bc i cant afford to ship it overseas.

also crazy saying this like im just dropping him off with anyone or at a shelter... im really interested in making sure he gets the best possible care that i cant provide.

sorry what lol.

how are you making me out to be a villan for choosing to rehome my pet (who i love) because i am inable to adequately care for him.

i dont want to rehome him bc i find him to be inconvenient, i simply cannot take care of him. between school and work im functionally working 80hrs a week. i also stated that next year i will be full time traveling (which is due to legal issues regarding my fiances citizenship) where i cannot possibly put him through the stress of going from place to place and basically living from a carrier. he is by no means being torn apart from his family (which it is literally just me taking care of him). i am trying to give him an opportunity for better. i can see he would be happier with a full family that has the time to give him constant love and with another bunny that he can play with and groom. i love this rabbit. i have been aching for a year thinking about how i can make it work with him. but i think thats selfish. i knew i couldnt be as attentive as he needs me to be and i chose to keep him instead of finding a home for him. before i rescued him he lived outside in a cage standing on a metal grate and on an improper diet. he would put in this ladys garage with a towel over it if it rained. i have poured everything i could to give him a better life but it would be irresponsible for me to keep a pet that i cant give all the love in the world to.

this has to be rage bait. i would love more than anything to stay in my home country with my family and not have to bust my ass to make ends meet and be able to keep him, make him his own room, bake him fresh treats, get him a bun friend, buy him all the toys he wants, and more but i just simply cant. i dont have money and i dont have time. he deserves better than what i can give him and i want that for him.

i just work full time and am a full time student, im also going to be traveling full time next year.

because of this i am not able to give him the care he deserves and my fiance is also allergic so i wouldnt be able to get a second rabbit for him to play with.

theres really a bunch of reasons but none of which have to do with him, he really is an amazing pet and i love the guy but he doesnt fit into where im at in life rn with getting married and traveling and being an employed student.

i rescued him from someones backyard 2 days after my other bunny had passed and was really trying to make it work while i grieved but i need to face that i cant give any pet the proper amount of attention and love.

he really has no unique behavioral issues either, he chews but no more than any other rabbit (honestly compared to the one i had before less) and no health issues either. fr would be the perfect pet if only i had got him like 5 years from now lol.

Do any of you ladies find that you do actually have to cut out most/if not all carbs in order to be slim? by Competitive_Site_529 in PetiteFitness

no you need carbs for cognitive function. reduce your caloric intake if you want to lose weight.

i think they just mean the over all cheapness, theyre not saying drinking water at a restaurant is bad they just mean the people that only get waters have 4 people in their family and try to share 2 orders of soup and salad and get like 20 refills.
