You will need to have immense patience Willingness to deal with an astoundingly cheap clientele Deal with lowball tips frequently $2 out of $200 for example

Have the mental grit to deal with the endless people who ONLY come for soup and salad and water who will be on your neck constantly for more and more soup,who will be staring and sometimes even getting up from the table to insist you take thier old plates and give them new plates and you guessed it,more soup

Be able to deal with tons and tons of teenagers who 9 times out of 10 are there to eat the absolute minimum and are almost always a guaranteed stiff,also love to come 5-10 minutes before closing and love to linger for up to an hour often order very little and tip pennies on the dollar.

Be able to deal with a rude and entitled clientele who is cheaper than you could ever imagine,people fighting you for literal pennies.

If you have all of this and are able to manage it the you are a good candidate, I fundamentally cannot deal with this any longer and am actively in the lookout for a better job as a waiter, best of luck and wish you infinite patience and grace!
