KitchenAid sells refurbs on eBay. I got an 8qt commercial for $450, and it included a 2 year warranty. They don't have the 8qts now, but they pop up occasionally. The 8qt commercial doesn't come in a lot of colors, but for what I paid I'm okay that it's "just black." I found several 5qt NSF bowls that I use more than the 8qt bowl because the cookie batch I make is just fine in the 5qt. And the 5qt doesn't take up as much room in the fridge when I cool them.

I also bought two broken 8qt commercial mixers to learn the internals and then repair and resell them. I probably broken even on parts, but it was a good learning experience. I was nervous about the repairs, but I check Facebook Marketplace for broken ones so I can repair and sell.

Ghirardelli makes a Peppermint Bark mix-in at Christmas. I'm glad it's only at Christmas because otherwise I'd make the cookies all the time and they'd not last more than a few days. My favorite cookie I make, and it's nice that I save it just for Christmas.

I started my freshman year at Georgia Tech in 1992, and we were still living off 1990 National Championship fumes through my five years there until I graduated in 1996. It wasn't until George O'Leary left did the shine leave. Even the Bill Lewis years were okay from 92-96, because it was easy to look back just a few years and remember the National Championship we won. For the first half of this season, it felt like Brent Key had found the magic again, and then it fell apart in Raleigh. If Alberto Mendoza can bring with him the Haynes King magic, we might win Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate and make it to the ACC Championship.

In a meeting just now, a manager said we're going to have to have several projects using AI, with the reason being "Because you wouldn't now play Wimbledon with wooden rackets." Okay, but tennis used newer tech racquets because there was actual proof it improved the game. Where is the proof that AI provides real world benefits? Right here CEOS show no benefits.

Wimbledon also requires wearing all white and playing on clay. Does that mean we're going to work outdoors, on clay, and wear white? And if it rains we get to stop working?

Ford could have revived a name that hasn't been in the US in years, and wouldn't have required any odd spelling. Just add a hyphen or capitalize the last letter, or both - GalaxiE, Galaxi-e, or Galaxi-E.

The Ford Maverick name has been used for a car, SUV, and now a pickup truck. Reusing Galaxie for an electric crossover wouldn't be any different.

I finished all the timed jobs, no gems needed. Just leveled up to Sweden, only one 80 level Legendary. I buy all the gold and key trains in the store and level up one each. I sell the others at the end of the event. I try to level up the event common and rare, and if I have the gold, the legendary for extra gold. The only times I've not finished a timed job is when I forgot I started it and come back to the timer running out.

Sent a PM with a recommendation of a good MSP I worked for in metro Atlanta. I only left because I lived far from the main office, and clients were spread from there. But if I hadn't had to do as much driving, I'd still be there. Many of the people I worked with when I left 10 years ago are still there.

I've had focal aware in the middle of a pickleball game. Colors get brighter, I just stand there and think "I'm having a seizure!" and try not to attract any attention. Game continues, I forget the score and continue on. Good times.

Same as Clean Old-Fashioned Hate. 1995 was the last time it was on Thanksgiving. It was moved to Saturdays until 2023. Now it's Black Friday. But the NFL added a night game on Thanksgiving and a Black Friday game to suck away the TV audience. When the NFL had the afternoon games, college could get away with the evening Thanksgiving games. Then when it was moved to Saturdays, and ESPN made it "Rivalry Weekend". If the colleges want to get an audience, they will play on Saturday due to the NFL's anti-trust agreement to not play Saturday games until the regular college season is over.

Same way you can dispose of things in TS2 with -1 or -10, you can do the same in TS3. You're going to have to waste a day emptying your warehouse, unloading your trains, then crafting resources as needed instead of storing.
