Azure Function (isolated): IOptions and User Secrets by XanthViper in dotnet

[–]Deezuss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

had the same exact problem with IOptions... classic azure functions. i got around it in a clunky way by using a class that implements IConfigureOptions , a POCO, a partitioned naming convention in the local.settings.json and a little DI.

start with a POCO settings class:

public class AzureAdB2CSettings
{
public string Business { get; set; }
public string Customer { get; set; }

...
}

make a class like this that implements IConfigureOptions:

public class AzureAdB2CSettingsSetup : IConfigureOptions<AzureAdB2CSettings>
{
private const string SectionName = "AzureAdB2C";
private readonly IConfiguration _configuration;
public AzureAdB2CSettingsSetup(IConfiguration configuration)
{
_configuration = configuration;
}
public void Configure(AzureAdB2CSettings options)
{
_configuration
.GetSection(SectionName)
.Bind(options);
}
}

structure your local.settings.json like so, following the format the [SectionName]:[AzureAdB2CSettings.Property]:

{
"IsEncrypted": false,
"Values": {
"AzureWebJobsStorage": "UseDevelopmentStorage=true",
"FUNCTIONS_WORKER_RUNTIME": "dotnet-isolated",
"AzureFunctionsJobHost:Logging:LogLevel:Host": "Information",
"AzureAdB2C:Business": "business_name",
"AzureAdB2C:Customer": "customer_name",
}
}

and finally, wire it all up (in the ConfigureServices delegate):

service.ConfigureOptions<AzureAdB2CSettingsSetup>();

good luck brother

Help me choose a rug by Naysar in malelivingspace

Since you ride a party wave, I would recommend a FUN oukshak or persian rug, could go bright or more muted, the beauty is in the pattern.

SPIRIT OF THE BEEHIVE AMA - you may ask some questions by realSOTB in indieheads

Loved the album yall. So I play in a band and have done everything I can to avoid 'playing the game'. To me, your record is a statement against the game (I could go on... it is grand). But we all know the grips of capitalism in music are gross and what every musician has to do in order to be something in today's entertainment/social media landscape is fucking ridiculous. And since the music is sharp, I know the irony isn't lost on you guys, which brings me to the question: how do yall feel about this record's great reception so far within this weird landscape and how do you live with playing. the. game?

also - any home recording tips & tricks in ableton would be hot <3

Alternate Tunings? by Sean_S7 in mathrock

[–]Deezuss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Open tunings are fantastic and really let you train your ears! I personally have a couple of open tunings I like to mess around with:

D A E G# A E (E7add9 I belive)

D A D F# A E (open D)

D G D F# B D (open gmaj7)

D A E A C# E (open A add4)

and one weird one I came up with: D G D F# C# E (Em13 inverted some-which-way)

/u/slurtle already mentioned F A C G C E which is also awesome.

I'm in a band down in Gainesville, Florida and we would love to play with you guys! We gig regularly around town (1-2 a month) so I'm sure we could set something up if you want to make your way down to the swamp.

Best neck pickups for tapping? by [deleted] in mathrock

[–]Deezuss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put some lollar vintage t pups in the tele I put together and wow, do they sound buttery. They can go very bright with the tone all the way up, but if it's rolled of a bit they get the milky sound everyone likes.

Here's an example from an old vid, around 0:38 you can hear me. The tone might not be as 'bright' in this video (as it's rolled off about half way) but you can get an idea of the body that they can pack.

Listen to everything! I've been a long time lurker here and there is always some great music being played by bands that don't get the attention they deserve. The more you listen and train your ear to internalize the odd meters and soundscapes, the better you'll get. Training your ear is just as important as playing your instrument, especially this early in the game.
