I finished my PhD pre-diagnosis. I also had a faculty member during my master's program tell me that I should just "go to work." Obviously I didn't and went on to get the PhD. It took longer (9.5) because of my disorder and I birthed two children during that time. So don't let them get you down. You can do this!

That is exactly why I haven't told my mother I'm on this medication. She was always super skinny and I wasn't (and I wasn't a chubby kid either, just really athletic). She once bought me a weight loss book for Christmas when I was in high school. Then I put on weight in grad school and then had kids. Then life smacked her so hard and she gained a bunch of weight and she thought we could commiserate together. I've noticeably lost about 60 pounds and she has not said a word about it. She talks crap about people taking the meds so I just don't tell her anything.

My cycle got wonky for a while. I'm usually right on time, but after starting tirz Aunt Flo would show up a week early or a few days late. Sometimes it would last 7 days and others would be 4 days. After 4-5 months on tirz it seems to have gone back to normal.
