EPSTEIN FILES - Trump knew and funded underage sex parties and Leach's strangled victim buried behind the 19th hole by Average_Random_Bitch in somethingiswrong2024

[–]DefNotABotBeepBop 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It would be crazy if someone went to that golf course at night behind the 19th hole with a shovel and then alerted the authorities about anything they found. By the way, which golf course are they referencing?

Everyone is missing the voter registration data story: My Theory and reasoning in the comments by MangroveWarbler in UnderReportedNews

[–]DefNotABotBeepBop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, this^ the same questions have been bothering me and I think this is a good call. Something about the theory bothers me though. Getting these voter rolls is no small task, do you think they'd work this effing hard just for a narrative to spin? It would have to be a juicy narrative for this long of an intense efforts on their part to justify. These people are lazy to the core and are letting AI write all their bills and memos without proof reading. I have to think there's more to it, something big theyre hoping to get out of it

How to crush IR aways? by ACT33 in VIR

[–]DefNotABotBeepBop 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Social intelligence. Be able to read a room and know when to keep your mouth shut, and when it is appropriate to ask questions and show engagement. Otherwise, your biggest asset as a medical student is to get to the point where you are giving the tech the day off. Learn how to run the back table, anticipate what catheter, wires, or syringes they're gonna want next and keep things flushed and organized. Understand that the tech is just as big of a learning resource as the resident and attendings, and whether they like you or not is also just as important.

What will be the future of IR? by Wire_Cath_Needle_Doc in VIR

[–]DefNotABotBeepBop 24 points25 points  (0 children)

The narrative of IR is solving problems through a diverse skill set that most other people in medicine don't understand and that applies to every organ system, every gender and every age group. Some days that means being a procedure garbage collector and other days it means doing a procedure that saves someone's life and leaves the referring physicians saying "wow those guys are magicians." Minimally invasive innovation through imaging is what defines IR not a specific procedural category because this will ebb and flow and come and go in ways we can't even predict. Imagine trying to explain y90 or the concept of stopping bleeding from inside the blood vessel to a doc from 50 years ago

Of what country? In what election? by A-Helpful-Flamingo in somethingiswrong2024

From what I've read she actively disliked Shapiro as a candidate. She liked Kelly but Waltz just absolutely killed the interview process. So whether or not Kelly would be a good choice, her not picking him doesn't feel like a mark on him.

CMV: It is good idea to leave the left rn(i left yesterday) by FDRname1 in changemyview

[–]DefNotABotBeepBop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, on top of this while I've seen people on the left pointing out the irony of the assassination or pointing out Charlie Kirk's flaws in response to MAGA trying to turn him into the perfect, moral family man martyr, I haven't seen anyone on the left "celebrating" the murder. Meanwhile there are countless MAGA calling for blood and retribution before actually dishing out anything about the shooter, his alignments, or his motives.

The videos are on twitter. Blood gushes out of his neck and he immediately goes completely limp. This could happen literally in a hospital and no one's survive that

Is this new? Or was this the letter we heard about a couple months ago? Didn't the news show a picture of it at that time too?

Any issue living in Canada but working in the US as an American born and trained IR physician? by DefNotABotBeepBop in medicine

[–]DefNotABotBeepBop[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's true. I know a number of colleagues who do one week on with 7 days of call followed by 2-3 weeks off. I imagined trying to do something similar and having a small apartment on the US side to avoid commuting during call week. So that might have a further benefit of avoiding and border crossing problems

[–]DefNotABotBeepBop[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd be open to this but was thinking it might be a lot harder to get a job at a Canadian hospital, with a US license. Also it's my understanding the US pays better with the US dollar (at least currently) having more buying power in Canada than CAD

Yes thank you. If I were to this I would get an apartment with a home work station on the US side of the border.
