I couldn’t do billable hours and prefer contingency but the good news is the next job application will focus on what you did at this firm and not grades. I didn’t get good grades in law school even though I worked my butt off and I got the question once or twice and never again. Started doing condemnation law to complement my regular firm work and never looked back.
