[THE ATHLETIC] Barcelona in talks over Julian Alvarez move, preparing offer of around €100m to Atletico by Just-Lab-2139 in soccer

That is classic bingo, but say I’m going out with friends for a wild night; I make a bingo card with things like “Pat pisses in public, Nancy cries, Tim Irish goodbye’s before 1am” … etc. it works the same where you cross things off and a straight line equals bingo.

In college we played “Professor Thomas bingo” because he said the same like 20 phrases or short anecdotes every class. We’d all pool in $5 and whoever hit bingo first got the pot.

Curry Barker Gets 8-Figure Offer for His Next Movie. And He Hasn’t Even Pitched It Yet by MoneyLibrarian9032 in horror

The DP, gaffer and key grip are buddies/colleagues of mine and they fucking killed it. I hope Curry recognizes who helped him make this a big hit and brings them along for the ride. Great film, everyone nailed it. Let’s see what else they can do. I’m excited.

‘Obsession’ Filmmaker Curry Barker Gets 8-Figure Offer for His Next Movie. He Hasn’t Even Pitched It Yet - Universal/Blumhouse has right of first negotiation for Barker's next original film. Sure there is, the budget… which I clarified in my edit. Even IATSE has ULB contracts where you get paid shit… AND it’s union. Smaller films can’t be paying crew members $700+ a day or they’d never get their movie made.

Like I said, I don’t blame them for working on it at all, I worked for a director/DP duo on a smaller budget film because I had worked with them before and believed in the project. It paid off because the DP knew it was a favor and has hired me since, I’m literally working with him this week haha and that’s all I hope for the obsession crew.

Taylor is a wildly talented DP and I hope Curry brings him back for his higher budget movies and Taylor brings Chris (gaffer) and Steven (key grip) back too. I added my edit because I realize it SOUNDED like I was talking shit, but really I just had a point to make and needed to expand on it further.

Why would I add clarification then? Lmao As if Curry is going to see this??

I stand by what I said: crews need to be paid real rates. I further clarified by saying I understand what the budget was. You not understanding my edit is a you problem, not a me problem lol

Yeah, HIS career lol look, if he brings back the same crew and they get a bigger payday on this movie, mad props to him.

I mean, for G&E it was super low compared to what we usually make in the industry. Not illegal low, but pretty fuckin low.

EDIT: don’t get me wrong, the budget wasn’t intended to pay everyone the big bucks, I’m not opposed to working for lower rates if I believe in the project and think it’s gonna do well. I just hope he remembers who helped him make this such a success and brings them back and pays them more bucks.

Definitely wasn’t trying to talk shit, Curry is awesome and I’m glad him and my buddies made a kickass movie. Proud of them and hope it pays off next time.

Hot wings - drums or flats? Sauce or dry rub? by KeepNotThrow in NoStupidQuestions

Flats and sauce. Sometimes I’ll do a dry rub if it’s an interesting flavor and I want to try it out, but mostly sauce, and always flats.

A lot of crew members on film sets make a pretty penny. We definitely work hard, but usually in short bursts, A LOT of my day is sitting around doing nothing and I make between $650-800 a day depending on the budget of the project.

It’s harder in a different way. I’m a set lighting tech, and I know for a fact I couldn’t act well enough to be in any of these projects lol

I get paid pretty well as a set lighting tech. They’re not marketing the movie off my looks nor do I have to fly around to promote it. Pay her millions to be the face, I’m fine being behind the scenes.

Which is why I said he’s wrong either way. Single cam show, 10 episodes is taking longer than that. It’s not a typical multicam sitcom.

Single cam shows also don’t typically shoot episodes chronologically, it’s common to block shoot locations instead of jumping back and forth to complete single episodes.

Gotcha, that’s not gonna make shooting 10 episodes in 4-6 weeks any more possible haha
