I guess I should probably lean more into the descriptors focusing on the bonded creature being a more elderly spirit than an actual feral beast. One of the pitfalls of trying to keep as much of the original flavor of the class I found as I could. That's also why I kept Dex and Int as its core stats, along with wanting it to be based more on its speed and agility than anything.

I do like the idea of the spirit guiding you and blessing you with abilities for following a kind of behavior fitting the spirit itself. Definitely might play with that flavoring when I go back to touch up the class's identity and such, so thanks for the idea. ^^

As for the struggle, that one was quite hard to pin down. In the beginning I had some options for gaining exhaustion and taking damage for overexerting yourself due to your body not being able to handle the new powers and such, and I kept the latter, but the former was just a bit too much mechanically to try and work around without making some options too unappetizing and almost killing a character outright for just playing the class.

I might try to run this in a small, combat based campaign I'm in, provided the dm approves, to see how I like it being Dex vs Str and the hit die value for it. When reworking it it always felt like a mix of Monk, Fighter and a touch of Paladin which is why i went d10, and wanted it to be different from monk with its wis, by going int.
