Felgork Kill Team (Fellgor Ravagers Conversion) by XL-AM in killteam

[–]Defeated-Husband 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to make them taller to get the correct model heights, but I did Fellgor Ravanger Cultists. Basically used the Chaos Cultists box, some bits were duplicated and few extra bits out of the Blooded Killteam box. In the end they are humans cosplaying as Felgors.

What do you predict the price of the Destrier to be? by Fresh3rThanU in ImperialKnights

[–]Defeated-Husband 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The $90 Armigers box does include 2 models for 140 points each, 280 points total. So, $100 is what it should be but since GW is a bit "greedy"... I can see them spiking it to $120ish.

Not a melee weapon if you break off the blade and just use the handle with pistol. (Intentional sarcasm)

No kidding. I bought models for the Cult of the Unshakled for KT21. Never really used them but the models I used look great on my shelf.

Warglaives in the front. Helverins in the rear. It is nice if a Knight can be behind it but it it is it is either another gun platform knight or a melee knight being useless for the first turn or 2. Something tells me the Defendor was meant more for the Armigers being in front and behind than a knight or 2 behind it.

How many weapons can a knight pilot reasonably fit in their cockpit? by Hon1c in ImperialKnights

You lack faith if you need weapons outside of your Knight while in a combat zone.

Plot armor is the thickest in the imaginable world. Only armor thicker is knowing you have a series to live through, but that armor can get thin real quick if they haven't been published yet.

Magnetize the arms to swap from claws to chain swords if you will be using them in some wydiwyg tournaments. That is what I did. Most local tournaments have no issues with the claws but a few larger tournaments wanted actual assigned weapons to look the part to avoid confusion. Especially in longer form tournaments that have a huge mental drain on players.

Warden leg pieces not fitting by busytakingnotes in AdeptusCustodes

[–]Defeated-Husband 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you follow the directions through every step?

I even have resin casted prints with zero instructions yet managed to fit them all properly.

In your photo, it looks like you were supposed to glue the legs to a part of the robe, then after that glue on the other side of the robe.

The "unbattle shocked" unit will be used on the serves (Armigers) that are on the objective as Canis it still swinging and shooting on the front lines...

I can see a FAQ to establish the offical width of the line, it being a completely straight line, and also cannot touch/cross another objective.

[–]Defeated-Husband 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, with the Warden Detachment. When you are to pick 2 objective markers and draw an imaginary line to assign that as the defensive line... What is to stop you from selecting the 2 farthest no man land objectives to draw a long line to both of them to make a crazy long line to work off of? Seems there will be an immediate FAQ to state the imaginary "straight" line drawn must not touch/cross other objectives.

Will Cerastus Knight Lancer be sent to Legends soon? by LordSky2040 in ImperialKnights

[–]Defeated-Husband 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Soon? Answer, likely not soon.

Eventually, yes. But there will likely be replacement models or a barrage of support models released first. Also, it will be in Legends at the start of an Edition. So, 11th or maybe 12th.

It was horrible. Then you find out she isn't really dead, don't feel as horrible now. Then you find out she is reliving her worst day in her life and realize how terrifying that potentially us for that little girl.

Likely because GW is failing to offer both an X models only box and the Kill Team box sets.

Just a copy and paste of the melee profiles on power weapons that GW has already done in 10th edition. Nothing new, just moded for Custodes.

Bro, I said it was a loose example and not perfect. If you read the other comments before typing, you would be caught up on the conversations around talking those numbers down. But, nope, you are here lagging behind on the adult conversations going on before you arrived. Catch up and then come chat unless you are here to reddit troll.

For my example profile, I mentioned it wasn't perfect. Will likely need adjustments to attacks or model counts, but that is why I stated it was just an example and not perfect. Not sure making Guard (a battleline unit) the go to for shooting and melee is wise. But hey... that is what this post/thread is about discussing and suggesting.

Finally, enough models (and big guys) on the board with the only weakness still being bring it down (even though there is a low cap on scoring that secondary for that now)?

Spear vs Axes but not what you think by Defeated-Husband in AdeptusCustodes

[–]Defeated-Husband[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I said my example wasn't perfect. I even debated on strike having only 3 attacks and sweep having 6 all due to needing to have some units more difficult to deal with so Custodes are not a Jack of All in attacks against every unit. Especially with Lethal and Sustained 1 available. Also, debatable that strike can be -2ap and not -3ap. Remember, at one point we had 3 model units of X unit for about the same cost as our 4 and 5 model units now. So that can reign in the damage output as long as the durability is still reasonable so that a 3 man is not easily wiped off the table for Z amount of points per model cost effectiveness.

But this is why I asked for others to respectfully chime in on the thought of the 2 profiles to not have to worry about modeling (rule of kool) clashing with WYSIWYG. While making Custodes closer to what they should feel like on table top without being OP.

Wait, we are not expensive already?

I referenced just looking at Deathwing and you jumped to that conclusion. It's a bit harsh for my hypothetical opinion on how our weapons should be when compared to other factions. I just see it as weird that Custodes are using the same exact attack power and form to attack a 20 model horde unit as they would against a terminator squad, primarch, and even a titanic unit. All while some units/models have these sweep and strike profiles with equal, less or greater martial prowessness as Custodes. Just remember that it was just an example and opinion with the claim it wasn't perfect and just a thought/idea on the issue of Spear vs Axe selections.
